MLB has opened a can of worms and now if a pitcher hits the next batter after allowing a home run he's automatically ejected and a 5 game suspension otherwise they're being inconsistent and lose all credibility.

After a couple starts w/ Buffalo, Manoah had hit more batters than had gotten hits off him.

For Montoyo, I think it's automatic that if a pitcher is suspended for throwing at someone that the manager gets at least a game.

We should get our pitchers to hit batters more often then.

Trade for a starter, go with a 6-man rotation. Appeal suspension, withdraw suspension following next start, return on 5 days rest.

I'd suggest the bullpen throwing at guys, but let's be honest, they'd miss.

If top prospects can get sent down to figure it out so can rowdy gurriel is another recent one.. sometimes a switch needs to be reset rowdy has hit mlb pitching before one can hope he can make the neccesary adjustments during the demotion

Even if he did, we should still trade him for pitching. WAY too many DH/1B types on this team, offense does just fine (usually) without him, a good many of those guys hit righties just fine, one of them is a frickin' offensive monster (and the other one might actually be nearly as good), but not enough clutch pitching.

You gotta give to get and we have more than enough offense to afford giving up a 1b. I just hope he doesn't end up in Boston and proceeds to terrorize us for 10 years.

Well, at least he'd still make a decent bullpen option later in the season, but he's gonna have to play winter ball if he wants to build up his innings. Then again, if this guy can't endure a starter's workload while he's young and vibrant...

And on the Springer front, I sure hope he ends up batting before Guerrero. I know he loves to whine about batting leadoff, but come on, can you imagine the looks on a pitcher's face knowing they have to decide between pitching to Springer or Guerrero? I totally want to see that, and I'm sure you guys do, too.
