Well, it's Virtanen who would be bumped out, so it would result in a softer team.

Lol. No.

Hudler would add more competition for roster spots, but who's bumped out will be determined by their play in camp and preseason. If anything, I think adding a skilled and softer player would increase virtanens chances of staying on the roster because of his skill set.

Jiri Hudler was top ten in scoring in 14/15. This guy isn't some **** player. He was short, slow and not overly great defensively then too. He'd be a great add to Vancouver. Their Cs are good defensively with wheels.

I still believe Hudler can put up numbers especially if he gets on the twins line. Vermette is a very good 2 way centre, both worth a contract

it would be interesting for once to have 2 options for the Sedins who can actually score

id be fine w Hudler as long as its not longer than 2 years
i imagine that's what holding everything up ...noone wants to give him more but he looking for term

as for bumping out youth ..meh, we just dont have it (top 6 rookies), so why not?

Would give him a PTO in Edmonton. Whoever is better between he and Puljujarvi takes the #3 RW spot.
Lucic - McDavid - Yakupov
Maroon - RNH - Eberle
Pouliot - Draisaitl - Pulju/Hudler

Ok so we'll keep Virtanen on the 4th line with Dorsett. Perfect development situation you're proposing.

lol why do you have Yakupov inked in on the 1st line. Guy is a jokester.

Most likely quite afew would have wanted him but I would guess he looked for too much money and term so teams passed him and signed someone else.

Hudler is going downhill fast..Anything more than 3M for a year or 2 is a huge mistake

Jiri Hudler 2016-17 NHL team

Has anything changed on Hudler front?

With Hawks losing out on Vesey and failing to acquire any forward talent this offseason the holes in top 9 are pretty serious. Hudler is only forward FA out there who can actually help them

Its up to Hudler to drop his demands but there seems to be no news on him lately

I think he'll sign somewhere soon now that Vesey is off the market. Plenty of teams were holding off hoping to get him but now Hudler and Pirri should be attractive to some teams

I don't see teams all that interested in Pirri

One dimensional players who are extremely streaky at that one dimension of game they actually have success at are not all that appealing

Actually there's been a decent amount of news about him lately, including reports from his agent that he'll be choosing his team by the end of the weekend.

I think Hudler is a real asset for a rebuilding team. He's a good guy and he really helped in the development of Monahan and Gaudreau.
