Lambert on a 2 year track to make the Jets?

Lambert didn’t have any points tonight, back to being a bust :puppy::sarcasm:

This was a tough game for everyone. The boys were just missing top shelf on Spunar. The first period was super scrappy (Guenther and Portland player got matching penalties six seconds in). Then we had a pretty good team Donnybrook after Korchinski was checked from behind. Even guys like Guenther and Lambert we’re getting involved and chirping. I think it means a lot to the 3rd line guys to see your top NHl guys scrapping/sticking up for their teammates.

Eventually that presssure from Lambert eventually wore down the team by the 3rd.

Jim Rutherford Trophy (Best OHL Goaltender) Winners since 2010 playing in the NHL:

12-13 Binnington
13-14 Nedeljkovic
15-16 Blackwood
17-18 Michael DiPietro
18-19 Luukkonen

Players with a 30+ wins season:

Binnington - 4th season (age 19-20) - 32 wins / 2.17 GAA / .932 %

Nedeljkovic - none. He had very good % numbers in his first two seasons but his numbers went down after getting traded in his last two seasons

Blackwood - 2nd season (age 18-19) - 33 wins / 3.09 GAA / .931 %

DiPietro - 2nd season (age 17-18) - 30 wins / 2.35 GAA / .917 %

Luukkonen - 1st season, only played one season after coming over from Finland (age 19-20) - 38 wins / 2.50 GAA / .920 %

DiVincentiis - 2nd season (age 18-19) - 31 wins / 2.51 GAA / .911 %
(10 games left in OHL regular season)

Still, we all know "GOALIES ARE VOODOO!" but I think it's far from crazy to think he can become a NHL starting goaltender. Obviously though, on the same list you can also find players with 30+ win seasons that aren't in the same category like Mark Visentin, Michael Houser (allthough played two games for the Sabres this year, won both of them and rocks a .948 in the NHL right now but is also 30 years old by now), Luca Peressini and Michael McNiven (who even had a 41 wins season in his third year. born in Winnipeg)

Who are the best goaltenders coming out of the OHL over the last 20 years? I would like to start comparing stats to maybe get a feel for how likely he is to actually become a legit NHL starting goaltender

Regular season career SV% ranking for goalies active in the OHL since 2010 with >50GP, top 10 followed by some recognizable names past the top 10

Expanding the list to the 1999 OHL season would put him at 72nd in SV% with notable names like Michal Neuvirth, Craig Anderson, Joey MacDonald, Mike Smith, Andrew Raycroft, Steve Mason, Ray Emery, Michael Hutchinson, Peter Budaj, Eddie Pasquale, and Alex Auld ahead.

I think if he continues trending upwards he definitely has a shot.
