Primary assist so far today. Still another 12 minutes to go in the 3rd

That’s a really nice pass. Impressive hesitation to create space to slide the puck under the defenders stick. We all know he can finish, but it also looks like he’s got the vision, patience and skill to play with a talented top-6 (hopefully at the NHL level)

I never stop being mind blown by the effect the KHL and other european leagues can have regarding the "now... THAT is a name I haven't heard in a very long time".

Today's episode: Rob Klinkhammer

Mine was when we learned that Eric O'Dell - the guy many of us pinning our hopes on during the first 2 seasons of Jets 2.0, was now playing on the same line as Rashevsky a guy whom many are pinning their hopes on in 2021.

I knew about O'Dell having success in the KHL so that particular name didn't have that effect on me. The KHL needs a new Nigel Dawes though - could be O'Dell. Dawes left the KHL after 10 or so years this year to play for my hometown team Mannheim.

I wonder if Rash gets a shot at the Olympic team. Kind of young but also very productive compared to other Russian's in the KHL and has some chemistry playing with Shipachyov at times this year. (not that he'd be on the top line with him)

Tell me they're called the Steamrollers.

By all those years me mentioning them and with their history of Jochen Hecht, Dennis Seidenberg, Marcel Goc and lately Tim Stützle as well as Moritz Seider, I thought you guys would know the name is Adler Mannheim (Eagles) by now

Also I don't get the reference

*edit

I didn't knew Dawes was born in Winnipeg. I should totally reach out to him (somehow...) and catch a Jets game with him.

New age music group. Just to be clear, I'm not a fan. This is music that would have made Perry Como zone out.

But why is there "Mannheim" in their name?

From Wikipedia:
"The name "Mannheim Steamroller" comes from an 18th-century German musical technique, Mannheim roller (German: Mannheimer Walze), a crescendo passage having a rising melodic line over an ostinato bass line, popularized by the Mannheim school of composition."

I would call their music experimental rather than "new age", but that's just me. Some of their experiments worked fabulously. Some fell flat. IMO

IIRC a lot of his goals, like this one, have come from driving the net. Not much of shooting from 30' out. Get in close and get it by the goalie however you can.

I had a similar comment in his dedicated thread. Seems like he is the driver in most of the scoring highlights I have seen. Definitely goes hard to the net.

how's the winnipeg top 10 prospect list looking right now? and where would you have rashevsky?
love perfetti, love how he sees the ice.
