Interesting.
Wagner playing in his first regular season game as the 13th forward again, didn't step on the ice in the first period.
Yeah SHL. Guess they'll do the same as last year and ship him up and down between the SHL and U20 league. This the top league?
Interesting move given that he is under contract with the Chicago Wolves, which is an independent team. If the Jets wanted to get McClennon, how would they even go about it? Trade with the Wolves? Or does a NHL deal with the Jets override the existing AHL one with the Wolves?I don’t expect the McClennon addition to the Young Stars roster to actually material into an ELC.
Likely just here to fill a spot on the roster.
Yes, an NHL deal overrides an AHL-only deal.Interesting move given that he is under contract with the Chicago Wolves, which is an independent team. Great, looking forward to finally seeing this amazing shot I heard so much aboutThanks for keeping track of him. You never know - he could become a better player and come back.
2 more goals for Vesalainen today, including the overtime winner.
Wagner 0 points as the 13th forward, not sure if he got and ice time.
Who knows, just stat watching Jets' property. His take is that the Jets wanted to make him a grinder which has never been a part of his gameSo ......... was KVes just homesick this whole time?
Couldn't crack the Jets loaded top 6 and coaches refused to run a third scoring line.Who knows, just stat watching Jets' property. His take is that the Jets wanted to make him a grinder which has never been a part of his game
I agree that Lucius has a good understanding of positioning and timing. He still needs to learn how to make plays against faster and more skilled defenders. He also looks like he needs to improve his quickness and/or stamina to play C at the next levels.I absolutely admire Chad Lucias' positional Game. Keep your eyes peeled on #51. To the average fan it might seem unremarkable, but to an astute Winnipeg observer (such as my pretentious beer leaguer self) that shift from 2:07:36-2:09:00 is something to admire hockey IQ wise. And again at 2:22:10. Then again at 2:28:05 on the late terrible shift change by Lambert (47). PENTICTON YOUNG STARS | Winnipeg Jets vs. Vancouver Canucks.
Not only does Lucius seem to be everywhere all at once while on Defence, but he has a real knack for being at the right places at the right times on Offence. It reminds me of Lowry.
I used to jokingly hate guys on my team that just happened to be at the right place at the right time, but now i realize its a real talent/skill..
The Jets could use a guy like that on the 3rd or 4th line, even the Pk.
He’s missed a lot of time for games and conditioning to injuries for a few years now. I hope he can gain more strength and have a full healthy year with the Moose. His World Juniors and that stint with Portland before his injury were a thing of wonder. Damn shame his season ended so early.I agree that Lucius has a good understanding of positioning and timing. Agree. I think he'll need time in the AHL while he builds his quickness, stamina and strength and get up to speed with his hands / timing. He’s missed a lot of time for games and conditioning to injuries for a few years now.
