Looks like Chaz Lucius, Colby Barlow, and Wyatt Bonigovanni all got released last night according to Capfriendly. Barlow back to junior and the other two to the Moose.

Too bad Barlow didn’t get a game. Should be some rule to allow first rounders to get a few games in the nhl if they were sick/injured crocs start the year.

At least let them play in the AHL for a few games.

There is no rule saying he couldn’t have got into any games. Actually there is a rule saying a player’s ELC year doesn’t kick until the have played 10 regular season games. If they wanted to see him in the NHL the could have.

I thought He was sick for preseason?

He was sick but they could have let him recover and play him if they wanted.
They are going to be using a mostly regular roster for the last couple preseason games. It was bad luck that he was sick for the games he would have gotten to play but they have a plan and are not going to change it for one guy.

No I get that. I was just responding to a poster who said he wished there was a rule where he could have played. I was responding to that, not whether I believed he should have.

the jets should have been allowed to schedule more preseason games in order for Colby to play in 1 game before being sent to OHL.

So you schedule one or more games so 1 player and a D+1 prospect at that can play a game? Who would they play against and when would they play and do you make your ST base pony up another couple hundred dollars to watch? Every team has their own schedules, the league has their own timetables. This is as biggest no go as is imaginable.

I can't believe this is a conversation. The kid wasn't healthy to play. It happens, he'll get into one next year. Him not playing will have no bearing on his development. He wasn't making the team this year anyhow.

Who'd pay?
Ridiculous.

I haven’t gone to a Moose game in years, but the roster of Chibrikov, Lucius, Lambert, Salomonsson, Bauer, Zhilikin, Kuzmin makes me want to pick up a multi game pack.
I got an offer in my email box to see the Moose home opener for $10 (including all taxes and fees). Couldn't pass that up. I haven't seen a Moose game since they played at the Winnipeg Arena, so it should be fun...

After the game, please let us know your TCA (total cost of attendance) including parking, food and bevvies, impulse purchases at the Jets Gear store, etc.

You should definitely go, compared to the atmosphere of Jets game its a lot more laid back and chill, if the team is winning its fun too! Certainly seems they will be this year with how stocked up with talented prospects the Moose are.
