I truly hope you are right and would hail you as a Jets prophet if that trade ever came to fruition.I honestly think Vancouver is dumb enough to give us a first for Stanley, I shit you not.

Stanley will be an beast when he turns thirty in the nhl. We are developing him for another team
I think satire and sarcasm are Teppo’s finest giftings. You think he is going to get quicker at 30? That is both foot speed and brain speed.

I disagree. I think we've seen enough of Logan Stanley by now to know that they are only two scenarios he ends up playing even closely to "being a beast" (I mean I guess you can argue about that definition anyway, what do you mean by a beast? He's already a beast physically... playing like a beast probably?) and both of those scenarios are highly unlikely to happen.
1. He does it with his mobility
- 100% not gonna happen. We saw for years how a guy of his frame needs to skate and how his agility and balance needs to look like in order to play "like a beast" and not have players run circles around him in watching Dustin Byfuglien. Logan Stanly is very far away from Byfugliens skating. Very far.
2. He does it with exceptional hockey IQ
- Not 100% impossible compared to the skaing scenario but also highly likely. I think his hockey iq is below average to begin with or at least right now. IMO this is the main reason why he won't break into a top 4 player long term, no matter where he goes. You might be able to cover his lack of mobility with a sick two-way defenseman that is absolutely elite at skating (someone like Morrissey for example this season) but you won't be able to cover for his lack of hockey iq - let alone both aspects. That is most likely why we haven't seen Logan Stanly been utilized on a pairing with Morrissey for any time, because coaching staff knows, that Stanley's deficites are too big to overcome by just putting him with a player like Josh Morrissey
I think Logan’s best chance is to relocate to a team where he can play 70 plus games in a season. Samberg is better than Stanley so short of a sell off of D Vets Logan is more or less going to be a 7-8 press box type here. He won’t improve in that role.
Schmidt leads the league in goals against/60. Fun fact I learnt watching the wild game.Schmidt has been really solid this year, I think teams would be interested if we're rebuilding or looking to lessen the D cap hit, at least analytically inclined ones will.
That surprises me, he's +12 in on ice goal differential, one behind Morrissey for best among defense on the team, so his goals for/60 must be very high.Schmidt leads the league in goals against/60. Fun fact I learnt watching the wild game.
Around 1.4 goals against/60
Who would you say is your favourite current Jets prospect? That surprises me, he's +12 in on ice goal differential, one behind Morrissey for best among defense on the team, so his goals for/60 must be very high.
Big fan of Salomonsson every time I see him play. Only really started looking at DiVincentiis later in the season but hard to not be excited with what he's doing. How about yourself?Who would you say is your favourite current Jets prospect?
if his goals against / 60 is a league low, his goals for / 60 doesn't have to be very high to have a solid differential. That surprises me, he's +12 in on ice goal differential, one behind Morrissey for best among defense on the team, so his goals for/60 must be very high.
Oh geez, sorry I misread your original post. When you said he lead the league I thought you meant he had the highest/worst and I didn't really register the number itself.if his goals against / 60 is a league low, his goals for / 60 doesn't have to be very high to have a solid differential.
wasn't my post, but yeah, figured that was the issueOh geez, sorry I misread your original post. When you said he lead the league I thought you meant he had the highest/worst and I didn't really register the number itself.
Thank you for asking and sorry for the delay, for I have been caught up in exam preparation and job hunting. Anyway, my favourite prospect overall is probably "Big Bad" Brad Lambert. I'm really rooting for the kid, especially after what's his name and that other jackass were shit-talking him all of last summer. I think there's a top-six player there.Big fan of Salomonsson every time I see him play. Saw this floating around twitter, Brown also had a snippet about Lambert from a week ago. Not sure if posted but hey he's back and producing again.
