Prospect Info: Jets Prospects

Kuzmin seems to fly under the radar as a prospect for the Jets for some reason. 65 games played, 59 points as the top scoring D man on Flint. My guess is he’ll be heading to the Moose next season.

This kid is having a heck of a season. One of the top goalies in the OHL.

Not sure but I think he is the top goalie in the OHL.

Edit: He lead in EVERY statistical category for goalies in the regular season, mostly by wide margins. In the PO he is in the top 5 in every category.

Last time we had a goalie prospect that had the top statistical results in a league it was a kid from Michigan that was crushing it at UMass-Lowell

If this kid continues and develops into a Helle level goalie it will be equivalent to Jets winning the draft lottery.

The biggest fear of a full on rebuild is that in spite of having built all the rest of a contender, we will have Pavlecian goaltending that will relegate us to the bubble.

With Kuzmin likely going to the Moose next year, I wonder who gets booted off team next year to make way for him? Green maybe?

Luke Green? He's been in Europe for the past 3 seasons. Well, 2 and a bit. No other green on the Moose that I can see.

Maybe my answer should be that there will be lots of room on the Moose next year with Chisholm, Gawanke and Heinola all graduating to the Jets after Schmidt, Dillon and Pionk are traded. :naughty:

Big whoopsies on my part. For some reason I thought Green was still with the Moose.

 NP - It would have been easy enough to assume he had just spent the last 3 seasons on IR.

Looks like he has had some injury issues in Europe but he has finally managed to get in a decent number of games. Hope he has a nice career over there.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but Gawanke was voted defenseman of the year on the Moose. For people pining for a RHD it would be great for him to make the next step.

Chisholm and Gawanke will have to clear waivers next year to play for the Moose. That would be interesting.
Gawanke had to clear waivers this year as well. I was more worried about losing him than Kovacevic.

In regards to the Frozen Four Championship game, it was Logan Cooley’s bad penalty late in the 3rd that led to a 6 on 4 game tying power play goal for Quinnipiac when they pulled the goalie.

Heartbreaking for the Golden Gophers

Funny enough it was against fellow Coyotes prospect Lipkin (who should have got a penalty as well).
