Saying that Lambert would be up with Bedard in points is a little hyperbolic. He would likely be right up there with the guy who is 2nd in scoring, behind Bedard though.
Bedard - 2.51 ppg
Lambert - 1.46 ppg
Wheatcroft - 1.57 ppg (2nd in WHL scoring)

Assume the 7th player would be Brown and even he was doing alright until he was traded. Don't know the story there.

I think if he played the entire season he would be around 2 PPG probably 120 to 130 points. He is that good at the is level

I'm not sure I'd go that high. I see him in the Savoie tier. Similar strengths and talent level. Savoie put up 95 in 62 games and is destroying the playoffs this year.

But if we have gotten a Savoie type top 10 talent at 30th overall I take it and run.

Having watched him quite a few times this year, he is in that top tier of players that dictates how other teams play when he is on the ice. The speed he does things at with the puck force teams back so much it opens up so much ice that he ends up generating chance after chance., The one thing that holds him back is in isn't a natural finisher like Bedard. If you give bedard 5+ shots a game he will score at least once if not two or three times. Lambert generates a ton of shots per game but he doesn't quite have that scoring "luck" like a Bedard but having a few games playing against bottom feeders he would do some damage

I have 6 of 7 having good years. McGroarty, Lambert, Zhilkin, Salomonsson, Wagner and DiVincentiis. I would argue if Lambert went to the WHL at the start of the year he would be right up there with Bedard in points.

Zhilkin and Wagner have developed, but not really to the point where they are projecting as legitimate NHL'ers at this point. Both need to take a big step forward next year. I'm not saying they can't or won't, like I said they developed nicely this year, but lower picks need to take very large step forward at some point in their development if they want to get on a track where they project as NHL players.

Zhilkin has a contract already and I won't be surprised the Jets offer one to Wagner after next year. I think both are trending in the direction of AHL/bottom 6 replacement players.

I wonder if Nikkanen and Torgerson will be back next year or whether they'll take a turn at the SEL for a few years.

Painful that we took Torgersson and two picks later Nashville picks Evangelista who looks like he is going to the steal of the 2nd round.

That is really my big concern on Brad. He looks to be a chance generator but I wouldn't classify his playmaking or finishing as top end. So the key to me as he moves up the levels is how many points is he going to be able to get generating a high number of medium danger chances for his linemates, and a good number of medium/high danger chances for himself. I think the answer to that will determine whether he is a top line, second or third line player.

I'm not ready to give up on either Torg or Nikk yet. Both are just completing their first years in NA hockey and are still young. I think both improved as the season wore on. I think next year will show us what we have in those 2.

He’s not just a puck carrier/offensive guy anymore. Very far cry from what we saw in the WJ, Liiga and end of his stint in the AHL. He’s turned into a complete player. CHL was the right move for him. Now the challenge will be playing this same game at the next level. But we know he CAN do it.
Nice looking chart, just want to point out that it's only 4 games tracked, very small sample. Hope he can keep it up!

You can go on and on and on about NHL draft picks missed and better players drafted later, it will never end. The NHL drafts 18 y/o kids at various stages of physical and mental development and only the most elite are anywhere close to looking like the finished product. The comparison would be the NFL only drafting high school seniors and all draft picks would then go onto college already being drafted and develop from there.
