He could be shooting 0 % and still be having a successful year. .5 in the KHL at 21ish is nothing to sneeze at.

Delightful to read. I thought the reason he fell is because he had no interest in coming to North America?1) It expires after this season. Rashevsky has expressed a desire to play for the Jets next season.
I think you have a gem here, Winnipeg.
This question seemed urgent to me so: yes and yes.3) Is Burmistov still playing ? And is he still sporting a # 69 jersey?
He fell because even in Russia he was virtually unknown before this season. Never a part of national teams, played for a humble junior program, very late bloomer (5 points in the MHL as 18 y.o.). Many teams probably didn't even bother to check out some overager they have never heard of before doing ok in the VHL.Delightful to read. He was unheralded, but it's not like he had never produced big numbers before he was drafted...This question seemed urgent to me so: yes and yes.

You forgot laineForget Hawerchuk. Forget Selanne. Greatest. Jet. Ever.
Too soon?
I think you may be selling him a bit short.
More like, forget Gretzky. Greatest. One. Ever.
Before last season, his career trajectory seemed similar to someone who might have a decent career in the Belarussian league. In terms of the development curve, he is 2 years behind compared to most high-end prospects. He was unheralded, but it's not like he had never produced big numbers before he was drafted...
Goes roof-daddy?
Please don't let that expression catch on.
As I recall, Dorofeyev was ranked in the late 1st or 2nd round by many (#12 among International skaters by Central Scouting) in the 2019 draft, and Vegas took him in the 3rd round. Interesting that Rashevsky wasn't drafted that year, or the next. Before last season, his career trajectory seemed similar to someone who might have a decent career in the Belarussian league. Regarding "big numbers", I think you know how the big numbers work in junior. Being slightly above PPG at the age of 19 is nothing to write home about. Last year he started to break out a bit for those who follow the VHL but from a stat-watching perspective, it was still nothing too impressive.
You can compare his numbers to Pavel Dorofeyev or Dmitri Voronkov who are both born just 20 days apart from Rashevsky.

On the Russian Front!
1) When is his KhL contract up/ expire
2) when is Chibrikov contractual obligations up?
3) Is Burmistov still playing ? And is he still sporting a # 69 jersey?
4) Is Zhamonov still aGeneral manager of a KHL team?
5) Was Barbara Bach not the hottest free Agent actress to play a Russian Spy in any Bond Movie?
6) Are there any HFBoard people on this site still mad at the Jets for not giving Arturs Kulda (D) a fair try at making the roster?

So much for AHL next year.
So much for 'we drafted him now because he has decided to come to NA'.
Yup. I think a couple of years in the KHL won't hurt, and he'll be more ready when he's stronger and more experienced. He'll still be just 23 when he might be available to start his N America career, which seems about right for a late developing prospect like Rashevsky.Worth noting that he only signed a one year extension. Kaprizov at this point signed for 3.
Yeah, hard to imagine him foregoing a larger and tax free salary in a culture that he is comfy in for a puny taxable salary in a culture that he is unfamiliar with. Not many of us would go for door #2.Yeah, I can see Rashevsky forgoing the AHL entirely and just head directly to the NHL after a few years in the KHL.
