If he ends up in the AHL I think his money goes from probably around 900k a season to around 70k a season. So the move is not without risk.

I imagine there would at least be some assurances for him, if he was coming over he would be guaranteed a spot as we clearly haven't re-signed Apples and probably won't (same with Tanev) along with Kupari gone, there is room for him. Now obviously he would need to perform so still risk if he doesn't but the kid should be talented enough to at least stick in the bottom 6.
