The Rangers are a mediocre team. The fact that they lost to the Jets isn't that surprising. They aren't that much, if any, better than them.

Side note, nice to see Trouba tonight.

They didn't even ****ing show up. It was a disgrace. They ripped off their paying hard working fans while they coasted at their jobs and got a paycheck.

Nash was probably our best forward. He wasn't consistent but he was getting chances in spurts, probably had like 6 shots.

Yeah I caught some of those chances, but I felt like he equally coughed it up in the neutral zone or was very soft on the puck a few times. He's a great player I guess I just didn't see him as having as great a game as you saw.

You don't ride the hot hand by sitting Lundqvist though. There's a difference between riding the hot hand in Philly or on Long Island or even in Pittsburgh and in NY.

I get what you're saying but it's hard to keep the positives and move on when we've done this literally several times already.

Yeah. I don't know. I've been seeing it for about 20 years now (as have many on here). After the EN goal, I just walked away for a bit. Took my dog for a short walk. Found my Zen place. It's not helping the Rangers, but it's probably doing wonders for my blood pressure.

I mean it though I HATE home games. Ice is horrible, boards are too lively, and there's no venom in the crowd.

****ing garbage.

I hate James Dolan more than The Big Bang Theory, but only by a little.

“@PLeonardNYDN: Talbot, Rangers say .500 hockey isn't good enough. That's the message. Ton of players in room afterwards, holding selves accountable”

TALK IS CHEAP.

At this point, with the "talent" we have, there is no excuse for our record. The excuses are running out. We are at 100%, two months into Alain's system but granted our special teams have improved. Overall, our play has been stagnant. I just don't see the hustle in our guys like I see with other teams, Jets being a perfect example tonight. Pouliot has skill but cannot harness it and is soft with the puck. I still say trade MDZ while he still has value. Brassard is turning into a third line center, we need to fill that 2C. Moves need to be made, right now.

I agree, he isnt sending any message to Hank. Play the damn guy 5 games in a row, win or lose. He is 31 years old for gods sake, not 40. The team has to score. Stop this goalie ********. Torts used to ride Hank all season

I've said this again, and again. We won't make the playoffs with this back and forth in goal. Talbot is getting too much playing time.

For us to make the post season Lundqvist needs to find his Vezina form. And he isn't going to find it being rested once out of every three games.

He is a work horse. He needs to play routinely to find his groove. He's used to starting 60-70 games a season. In some instances over 70 games.

This isn't a playoff team without Henrik in Vezina form.

Brodeur in his prime had HORRIBLE stretches at points with the Devils in his career. They stuck with him and played him game after game, until he found his stride, and after that it paid off. And Lundqvist isn't even playing poorly in November. People need to rethink what poor goaltending is.

You ride your star players to the ground. Lundqvist is our star player, stop the head games, and give him the reigns to do what he does best, find his game and carry the load.

He didn't have a great game, no one did, but in a game where we had offense in short spurts a couple of times and did zilch the rest of the time Nash was the least of our problems.

Talbot had a rough night, 2 bad goals. I think the team actually played pretty well in the 1st, then slowed down and did dumb things afterwords. Then Richards missed an open net, then Talbot let in a softy(which started by Pouliot losing a tape to tape pass).I just dont see playoffs for this team and it sucks watching a team that is just mediocre.

There's absolutely no reason why MDZ or Pouliot are on the ice with under 5 minutes in a 1 goal game.

I'd rather see Marcel Hossa or Brad Isbister at this point instead of Pouliot

I'm sick of hearing about puck luck. We haven't had any of that since Nineteen ****ing twenty-seven. Ugh.

I hate this team so much. :(

Well good for you. Really. :handclap:

this team epitomizes mediocrity and softness. no character. easy. faceless.

I cringe every time i see that loser Arniel behind the ranger bench. I still can't believe we brought all the garbage from Columbus here to NY. Outside of Nash they all suck

Hossa was awesome for like 30 games that one year.

As much as it kills me, I'm slowly accepting this.

Once again, it kills me to say that.

I'll be the "it wasn't as bad as the score made it look" guy. They didn't play great by any stretch, but there were elements that can be taken as positives. Staal had a good game, as did Del Zotto (who looks more confident on the rush than he has in two years).

Yeah, it sucks that they gave up 3 third period goals, but those goals were--a series of weird deflections that went right to an Ottawa player, a mistake by a rookie goalie for a soft soft soft goal, and an empty netter. Again, it's not like they played great, but they just had NO puck luck in that third period (and I think they were getting frustrated by the lack of calls on obvious penalties--there were at least three textbook calls that were just ignored).

Put it in the past, keep the positives and move on to the next game.

In my opinion, you're right, but everyone else here thinks the whole Ranger team is **** on ice, and it's never anything but the Rangers sucking.

Alain experiments in the last 4 games:

Falk > DZ
Falk > Moore
Talbot > Lundqvist
#5 #4 on a line

This offseason I was excited to see BRassard and Moore take the next step.

Brassard has not.
Moore has not.

Dorsett is really good on the 4th line, when he is not taking dumb penalties.

Gaborik needed to be traded but with each passing game I question whether or not we got the right pieces back. At the time it seemed like we did. We're the New York Blue Jackets.

Team needs more talent. Nash is the only true game breaker. Most teams have a few ringers that are capable of changing a game. Nash looked decent tonight, just didn't finish. He needs more support.

We have no depth in our forward core, especially with upper level talent. It's a bunch of soft 3rd/4th liners. Terribly constructed team. Sather needs to make a move IMO.
