I certainly hope Hughes is not that stupid but we never know! Would be a very solid catch for Winnipeg too.

Even so, I don’t think Dach is moving. If Winnipeg want a center back we can offer Dvorak or Evans (less likely) or Beck (most likely).

Well to be more specific, her medical degree ( not a real doctor) is only recognized in the US, not anywhere else in the world.

Not enough for Dubois because at the trade deadline they can have more for him as a rental.
For Tyler Bertuzzi Boston give a 3rd and a 1st. Dubois will have at least this value.
Harris don't worth a 1st
Dvorak don't worth a 1st
Replace florida 1st for Montréal 2025 1st and deal done

I don’t recall Dubois or his agent say that they want to test the UFA market. Are you making this up or do you have a source?

Didn’t the Habs give up 13OA for Dach then play him at wing with Suzuki? If Dach is the piece to get Dubois the Habs have to take that and run. PLD is a proven big time centre who would be perfect to play behind Suzuki in the 2C spot. Dach us still a maybe.

I find it interesting how obsessed you are about a player you Apparently don’t really care for and don’t have much value for. Every PLD thread you are there with post after post. You must be in The hundreds of post over the last year. This isn’t even a PLD thread until you and the Habs faithful turned it into a PLD thread like you guys do every time.

A 3C (which the Jets already have), an LHD (which the Jets have a glut of), and a super late 1st round pick?

Do you really think that package is enough to land Dubois? Do you really think that Winnipeg would be interested in that?

Why even throw that slop out there?

Dach played C in the second half of the season and had quite the progression. He was very noticeable on the ice. The kind of progression you want to see from a 6’4 21 years old center

It’s not serious, no one cares about tampering. They know it happens and their only course of action to stop it was to make it legal with a “FA Negotiation Period“.

But the habs don't need dubois, that's the thing, why give up possible core piece for somebody thats just a luxury

Sorry this is our first time rebuilding can you let us collect top 10 picks for a few years just like you guys did to ever be somewhat relevant in the first place. Its only fair that we get to rebuild too no?

Or do we have to make a dumb short sighted move just because PLD has a french last name?

Who will pay the rental price knowing that he plans to walk for Montreal in the Summer of '24?

Dvorak is a serviceable 3C, Harris is a decent defencemen with top 4 potential and the 31st pick is a mystery box that could be anything.

If what Chevy wants is pieces, these aren't bad pieces. I think futures is better personally. But oh well.

Possible core piece for a for sure core piece. That’s exactly why the Habs would be foolish not to make that deal.
