You just put him out there and hope for the bestIt's hard for me to imagine a point to show a song Armia.
Showcasing on 4th line... That's like showcasing someone's sitting&spitting technique. They're most likely showcasing Armia.
Habs have to do something for Primeau first. If they stop carrying 3 goalies, they have one more spot for a (healthy scratch) forward. When Dvorak is ready I wonder what happens with Ylonen?
They obviously don't see him as a future piece.Poor Jesse, gets burdened with Evans and Pezzetta and then gets benched. That's strategic coaching.
Credit to Armia for having a good attitude and taking his demotion well. When Dvorak is ready I wonder what happens with Ylonen?
I don't even know what they are trying to achieve. Do they want to get another draft in the top 5 and have another loser of a season? They could have managed that last season if they did things properly. They obviously don't see him as a future piece.
Too bad but they know best...I think
MSL coaches to win every game and doesn't think like a GM. I guarantee he would have never started Primeau against NJD unless he was directed to. Same goes with Ylonen, we all know Armia isn't the future but MSL just wants to win. Tough spot for the GM.Credit to Armia for having a good attitude and taking his demotion well.
But they can't put Ylonen on waivers instead of sending Armia back down. Armia hasn't been that good and isn't part of the future. I like the speed and secondary offensive touch Ylonen brings to the bottom six.
Even though he's still getting comfortable at the NHL level, and hasn't gotten much of an opportunity, I hope he does get a decent opportunity at some point. If RHP were to go down to the 4th line when Dvo is back, which I'm against, at least RHP-Evans-Ylonen would be a great opportunity for Ylonen.

If Primeau plays tonight it's because he was told to start him.
Ylonen is just the “easiest” player to scratch.Jesse has been playing good hockey. They're most likely showcasing Armia.
The downside of the Pearson acquisition is taking away ice time from Ylonen. Hopefully Ylonen gets his shot and Pearson gets us a pick at the TDL.Might as well trade him, they clearly have no intention of giving him the opportunity to grow. We need to give the ice time to the likes of Pearson/Gallagher/Anderson.

It's unfortunate because if anything, his play has actually warranted a promotion.
But you know...veterans and experience blah blah blah.
Too bad the young dinosaur is set in his ways. Ylonen does deserve a look but somehow they think Anderson with his amazing vision and passing skills belongs on the PP. The more things change the more they stay the sameHe has such a wicked one-timer and we never got to see it with the big team at all. I'd really like to see him get a bit of powerplay usage, all he needs is one nice setup and he can really crank it.
Perplexed by his lack of legitimate opportunities.Everytime I observe him, he's playing with impressive intelligence : he displays excellent positioning defensively, gets open for the counter-attack, he reads the play at a high-level. On top of his speed and his shot.
There's no reason he should be rotting on the 4th line.
He's the new Drouin. He gets all the TOI because he used (or was perceived) to do more than that what he's currently doing.Newhook - Suzuki - Ylonen
Reveille Martin tabarnak..
Anderson has become an ENORMOUS problem for the line up.. just wow
