I personally believe that billionaires shouldn't exist. That said... it's not like anyone else is going to run the NHL for us... necessary evil and all that.
I'm not simping for billionaires. I think ads on jerseys are dumb. But I'm not going to rant all leopardsatemyface style in here as I understand the world we live in.

So because some fans of rich teams are mad that covid has temporarily stagnated salary cap growth that makes it a leopardsatemyface moment for literally anyone to complain about putting ads on jerseys? You agreed ads on jerseys are dumb, so that makes you dumb because you post on HFboards and HF thinks the cap should go up.

I was thinking this while driving the other day. We have created one of the wealthiest societies ever to exist. Shouldn't we use that position of power to hold some things sacred? If no one can build a big "f*** you and your view" billboard, is any business really worse off?
Shouldn't the whole point of making all this money be making a nice place to live?
We already pay a stupendous amount to go and see our sports teams in our leisure time. advertising on everything degrades the experience.
For now.... fans enable it with this type of response.

I like wearing the jersey that players wear, but I refuse to wear one with an ad, therefore I won’t be buying any more jerseys.
But with how much the teams will be making, I’m sure that revenue will more than make up for people like me who won’t be purchasing jerseys.
But I also can’t wait for all the snobby fans of fellow O6 teams to talk about how much more classy their jerseys are than expansion teams even though there’s a f***ing ad on it.
Surely we can give it a quick two second thought and find that there are far worse aspects of capitalism than advertising lol...

Your whole argument rests on HF being a hive mind where everyone agrees on everything. Why are you allowed to not care if the salary cap goes up every year, but whenever someone says they don't like the ads you say they are being hypocritical because all HF posters only want the cap to go up. Are you not at the stage of development where you realize other people can have their own separate thoughts? That it isn't just your own superpower?

No, your whole argument rests on my argument being that HF is a hivemind.
My superpower is apparently getting a bunch of people that don't like the cap figure where it's at and don't like ads on jerseys super upset.
