I agree hes not 100% ready yet though hes looked good when hes played , but playing 10 minutes the whole game and with Paul Goddamn Carey will not help with his development at all.

I have no knocks against the kid other than his skating that needs to be improved but he's clearly out of his element right now and that just furthers JG's plan to have him in the line up.
Who gets the minutes?
 
it seems like Lias is a slow starter. Wasn't this the case when he first joined Frolunda this year, and then again when he joined the Pack?

Yes. But the bigger thing here is that he is more than just a guy scoring goals. His 2-way game is something that goes unnoticed, especially by the average fan who just watches the highlights and box-scores. His 5-on-5 TOI is also quite low at this stage which eats into his production. People need to be patient with Lias. His contract slides and he will have the entire off-season to focus on his skating and creating chemistry with teammates. Same goes for Chytil. One off-season can make a big difference.

Well thats what i mean when I say he's a slow starter. Not worried about him, and am being patient.

Big kink in what way? He's a teenager still and he's played 5 NHL games on a horrendous roster. If he still looks out of place next year, it'll be a setback Imo but right now he's fine.
 
I don't get what the expectation was for Andersson and Chytil in these throw away games. I've seen plenty of promise out of both. Do we need highlight reel plays each night? I guess Mittlestadt sucks too with no goals in 3 games.

I remember reading the story about that, and I wish they hadn't lost the sign that night and did end up in the HHoF.

As of right now, who cares? As has been stated, let's see what moves are made in the off season and could be that this question of ours is addressed then.

Actually he has 2 assists

But it’s certainly not about the points right now. Chytil could have zero points it’s clear as day he’s a high level prospect. Same with tolvanen and mittelstadt.

Lias just can’t skate. Never has the puck.

He’s good defensively he’s good around the net. He finishes every check. That sounds like Jesper Fast. Everyone loves Jesper. But if he were a 7th overall pick? Not so much. It’s not a hate thing for Lias. No one hates him. We’re discussing the trade. The trade was very good but not getting an elite level prospect at 7 overall was not good asset management. He was supposedly the closest to nhl ready. That’s why we picked him. Jeff screwed up not sure why that’s so hard for some to admit. Like I said earlier he’s had a very mixed start. Lot will be determined by July 1

You’d be hard pressed to find a projected line up on this board without him being penciled in and he’s most likely not going to be ready by TC.

JG is going to have to figure out another possible option until he is ready, is all I’m saying.

It presents another stumbling block.

It's not about the points when its fits your narrative.

Lets not pretend that you'd have the same mindset if CM had a line of 3-4-7 right now.
