Oh no. I had a feeling that might be the case. Its an amusing watch. Because it’s kinda a train wreck.
I'll still watch because I'm a masochist, you have now intrigued me.

Don’t worry. Jackson is a long term guy. You’ll understand his vision in 5 years.I honestly don't get the Oilers' management.
Like, what is the vision? The goal?
It would be nice if someone would clarify it, and not just more "there's something in the water" nonsense.
What's the plan for the next few years?
Omfg Chia was not better. He took us from a team that had an incredible foundation and lots of assets to a team that was capped out and was going to need a bit of luck to be a true cup contender. Holland didn’t get us there but Chia is the one that cut the hamstrings. But he got rich off that big fat Katz contract. Holland only took this job for the dough. He has been useless. Chia was better. At least he got 97 and 29 signed to max term deals.
and chia drafted way better. Hollands drafting since 2019 has been piss poor. No solid players.
What?

I am not convinced that this will work out Either. It’s weird. Generally with a coaching change, one would feel excitement and hope. I just feel confused more than anything.
Who will also fail at it due to the players we have.My maybe hot take is Coffey was the one who saw how exposed Woodcroft's system was in the playoffs and told him to swap to the box+1 zone.
Woodcroft tried and failed miserably at it, so they went out and got one of the few coaches available with extensive experience with it.
Idk how to embed here. Go back a bit. A few posters have the linkIt’s weird. Generally with a coaching change, one would feel excitement and hope. I just feel confused more than anything.
What he say?
For starters I'd like to see him deploy Holloway on the 1st PP unit, give Nuge a breakSeeing how Kris deploys Holloway, etc is something I am looking forward to. Holloway was great last night.
Paul Coffey runs the teamIt’s weird. Generally with a coaching change, one would feel excitement and hope. I just feel confused more than anything.

There were a bunch of sirens going off by Rogers placeI’ve been away all day. Did something big happen?
We shall see.Who will also fail at it due to the players we have.
SorryWhat clip is this?
And do people still take Gazzola seriously?
What in the world have you seen Holloway that would make you think he could fil that role?? Hymans sure. But Nuges? Hell noFor starters I'd like to see him deploy Holloway on the 1st PP unit, give Nuge a break
They hired a bunch of Connors uncles to run the team, not so they make the playoffs, but so he stays.I’ve been away all day. Did something big happen?
Same goal as always. Sell tickets. When the product on the ice is suffering and the revenue stream is put in danger of being threatened, make changes and start selling more hope. There hasn’t been a deeper plan than this through out Katz’ ownership tenure. There certainly hasn't been one with the goal of building a competitive team outside of tanking for draft picks.I honestly don't get the Oilers' management.

You should be a happy man today.I’ve been away all day. Did something big happen?
I don’t think Gazzola is 100% correct about Coffey. I think Coffey has Katz’ ear but it doesn’t make sense that he’s running the team. That’s likely on Jackson, who not only was hired by Katz but also represents McDavid in a figurative sense.
Thanks.
