Now there are so many good coaches without work, but unfortunately, apparently, we have a different way.

Just imagine this situation, it could take us to another level:

President Hockey Ops - Mike Gillis

GM - Lawrence Gilman or Mark Hunter

Head coach - Gallant/Boudreau/Laviolette

Top Three Bad Trades

Voldemort is the easy winner

I'm going to place the 6th rounder for a later 6th the following year on general principle. It was so unbelievably stupid and or lazy and arrogant. Followed closely by just a lack of respect for good practices.

But my surprise favorite is the Scandella trade.

Some might disagree for reasons....

But Scandella was really only decent for about 60 games of his three years here. He had a significant cap hit, and while we needed defense, was he really the best option?

Beyond what Scandella brought, we ate 10 million in total for Pommer, which considering how much crap Okposo gets here and Murray for the trade, is really under discussed for an enormous cap hit by a player barely at replacement level.

Meanwhile we gave up Ennis, who basically has performed as well or better than Poms did, and is still moderately useful, and more importantly we gave up Foligno, who was everything our forward group is still missing in the middle six. Who makes less than Sheary or Vesey.

Underrated awful trade.

we also moved down like 60 spots in the draft in the Scandella trade.

6th for 6th can’t be that high, i look at it like the cherry on top of the stupid sundae of moves

The man moves at the speed of continental drift.

maybe we should find someone to overdub the sloth scene from zootopia

Here's GMJB finally submitting the waiver paperwork on Bogo (he started it in early january)

President of Hockey Operations: Gillis: Has his warts, but who doesn't.

General Manager: Ron Hextall: He made several shrewd trades, and also drafted well during his first run in Philadelphia, and I really liked what he set up for Philadelphia going forward.

Head Coach: Peter Laviolette: A consumate playoff pusher, and a winner. He's won a stanley cup, and been there twice otherwise.

The Skinner contract is easily 2 on my "Dumb Botts moves" deal, right after Voldemort.

The Montour/Miller deals were SUPPOSED to be to soften the blow of the Risto move....which never happened. In context of that they look much worse. I think both Montour and Miller would be better with a regular partner

It's a good list, and I get that the 6th rounder as an asset is somewhat superficial.

But man, it really showed a lack of basic competency that one would expect even from Milbury.

At the exact same time frame, another team traded a similar pick for the typical improved round in the following year. Like c'mon this is the stuff 12 year olds understand intuitively. Look if you can't get a better deal, throw a dart and pick someone random.

Gross.

Who the hell is Voldemort? I mean it has to be ROR..right?

Let me educate you non-nerd. In The Harry Potter books, there is am evil character who is so scary, that everyone wants to forget he ever existed or could come back, so he becomes He Who Will Not Be Named.

You are now 15% less likely to get laid. Your welcome.

The Frolik trade.... how much is 4 million in cap space worth when your trying to compete for a playoff spot.... Calgary should've paid us to take that contract in full.

Yah, he wasn't thinking that.

He was thinking: "A forward! I got a forward! Now they can't complain!"

Makes a lot more sense why he thought Bogo should be showcased.... He really thought he'd get something, or maybe hoped and was willing to sacrifice minutes to players who have a future here.

You know, I think about that locker room all the time. Giving these guys the fruits of success without having actually achieved anything is not the right way to go.

It's human nature to become soft and lazy when you are given the paycheck before the work has begun.

Not only the cushy confines of the locker room, but the gross overpayment of many of these hyperinflated players have corrupted them with Pegula Cash. This causes chemistry problems. And surprise surprise, the players, starting with Leino, go straight into the dumpster. Bogosian is the latest casualty. They gambled big and lost on him and others who continue to plague this hockey club.

As Charlie Sheen once memorably said while bombing to an audience that was booing him: "Already got your f---ing money, dude."

At least with Typhoid Mary she was finally quarantined after infecting everyone for whom she cooked. Well over a dozen families and other occurrences.

What’s it going to take here?

This is why I get so annoyed about Botterill's usage of 3rd and 4th round picks to acquire 25+ year old players who have already reached their ceiling and it's a low one. You might as well flush the picks down the toilet than waste them on the likes of players like Vesey and Frolik.

The Bruins traded Frank Vatrano to the Florida Panthers in exchange for a third-round pick at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
Vatrano was 23 when he was traded. In 2015-16 he scored an incredible 36 goals in 36 games for the Providence Bruins and another 8 for the Boston Bruins in 39 games.
Vatrano recorded 24 goals for the Panthers in 2018-19 and has 15 in 58 games this season.

I feel desecrated. Soaked in the disease of Botterill. Hey, Botterill rhymes with BLACK PILL. Take a hint Pegs!?!
How can anyone sleep with this man still out on the street? He might be making calls right now for all we know. Do you want to see a Risto return? A Reinhart folly?
