What do you expect ? Prime assets ? He is a cap dump therefore you are getting cap dumps back unless you are adding value to him

He'd currently be THIRD on your team in scoring, just saying.

And for the record, I'm not looking to move JVR right now. Would consider the right deal, but not sure what that would be. Sure as hell not as a cap dump.

Yeah with JVR, we just let him be as he has been since joining us....streaky, score goals...then he gets exposed and we go from there. Since joining Philly is is up to:

142games, 51 goals, 50 assists, 101 pts...a 82 game pace of 29g+29a=58 pts

It's a broken record, but he has been EXACTLY as expected.

It's crazy how much money he has made off of being 6'4 and good at tipping picks. If he had any willingness to engage physically and discover where the defensive zone is, he could have been one of the most valuable players in the league.

That's selling him short. One of the best hands in the league in tight, and has a good shot off the rush. He's more than just a big body to stick in front of the net.

This likely wouldn't happen due to EJ's NTC and not even sure if i'd do it as he's a core part of the locker room and our best PKer, but just curious what Philly fans think of EJ for JVR.

We couldn’t do it because of the ED. It would mean losing one of Sanheim or Myers. No bueno.

This is the time Flyers should move him. He won't do this again. He's also sooo one-dimensional.

He's really not that one dimensional. His defense always gets called out and he's not even a bad defensive winger. It's not always pretty, but he's consistently effective, if streaky as hell.

JVR has been ragged on for years because he was a 2nd overall pick. He has his warts but is a solid top six winger which he's been for most of his career.

Yes, if he had a mean streak he would have been a beast.

He always left me wanting more during his first run as a Flyer, but it's because I never viewed him correctly. Watching him in Toronto made it click for me, and now I find myself one of his backers during his second run as a Flyer. He's a better player than the eye test would ever suggest. He's not going to use his size to obliterate people and he can look lethargic out there much of the time, but you have to look at him as a quietly effective guy who's going to get 30ish goals a year because of a handful of subtle high end skills and attributes.

I really only see him when he plays Boston, but he seems to always be on the scoresheet when he plays us. He's like Vanek, guy just always was a factor against the Bruins. I'd love to see him out of our division as I can't imagine PHI would trade him to BOS, but I'd love him on BOS.

Like since joining the Flyers, he has 103 pts in just over 2 years. Compare that to other guys in that range:

Ehlers 107....both played 143 games
Forsberg 104
Ry Jo 103
Danault 103
Gallagher 101
Schwartz 101
Lee 99
Palmieri 99
BTkachuk 96
Killorn 95
Keller 95

He is certainly riding a hot streak and it won't continue but considering he has been playing mostly with Laughton and Farabee this year, no complaints at all since acquiring him.

Also, he gets pegged as a PP only guy, but he is tied for 79th in ES points since joining Philly. That's 1st line production.
