So basically everyone is getting tired of dealing with armstrong and making their moves elsewhere.

Definitely looking like a draft trade at this point and likely something the league, nhlpa and owners look at for some new rules regarding the whole, sitting for trade

They asked for too much like the previous 2 years and no one wants to give them that... now they lost what they prob had and will have to settle for less from other teams or hold him and look stupid.
They'll concede. The Pens likely give them a decent enough package of picks and our prospect Pickering

I think you hit the mail in the head, teams seems to have been turned off by Armstrong

Is Armstrong being too stubborn with the value he’d looking for and pitting himself into a corner?

Edmonton out
LA looking at Gavrikov & Korpisalo
Toronto McCabe

Also who else can do it without retaining, that isn’t tanking. Buffalo?

Nah. The whole point of a Chychrun trade is that a team would overpay to acquire him. Columbus and AZ have agreed on value before. They will likely do so again.

Slavin - Burns and Skjei - Pesce are firmly entrenched. Chychrun’s a 3rd pairing guy with PP time in Carolina. While there are mid-term considerations with age and contract expirations, a premium return gets hard to justify based on role. Trocheck interest makes more sense to me; they’re in there just in case Arizona finds value somewhere in their prospect depth.

Was reported by a guy who mixes and mingles with people who would know that the oil had a done deal basically then last second Bill Armstrong tried to audible and ask for more and Holland just shut it all down on him

Oilers basically had a deal and then Armstrong wanted more right at the end lol. Holland cut bait

To an older and more expensive player? Are AZ fans supposed to be offended or something? Y'all talk about Chychrun like he's a 32yo expiring FA.

If I'm LA I'm getting this done. At this point they've gotta be competing with only Winnipeg and Pittsburgh. But in the offseason? All the middling/lottery teams (Calgary, Columbus, Detroit, Nashville, Ottawa, St Louis) with extra futures will be back in it

I get the feeling dealing with Benning and getting a 9OA and 2nd for OEL has Armstrong negotiating like this for Chychrun....
