Their record has been better these last two weeks than it was prior.

And?

Players are saying fu to management.
Doesn’t mean this shouldn’t be seen as clear tanking by management.

& maybe teams shouldn’t trade their future to land Chychrun

He was healthy scratched because it appeared a trade was imminent. We dont know what happened but the trade fell thru. Now they are kind of stuck...he is still being involved in trade talks so do they dress him now?

Columbus is in the same boat with Gavrikov.

Other team are also scratching players for trade related reasons. Kane in Chicago. Jeannot in Nashville.

I am sure you are vilifying those teams as well.

You are kind of missing the point of competition, sportsmanship, fair play ect.... but I know you don't care because others have done it that's a great teaching point for young fans of the game.

PLD has publicly implied that he isn't resigning with the Jets, maybe they should not play him since a trade is imminent eh?

I don't care what anyone says...it's wild to sit someone out (who isn't a rental)- this many games before the deadline.

If he's that much of a worry to get injured...maaaybe, GMs are realizing how hesitant they should be.
Maybe the NHL should institute a new rule (Sean Avery style) that if a trading teams sits a player for an imminent trade they get a 1 game reprieve and after that the new team has to sit said player for the games he missed that might get rid of all the BS right now.

NHL fans pay big bucks to see the best product on ice.

so what happens when a team hold out a player all year from day 1 to trade deadline??? League step in?
What happens when a tanking team plays 6 skaters instead of a goalie just to lose??? Will the league step in?

We can come up with silly situations which won't happen. In this specific case 95% of the whining appears to be coming from Montreal fans because they want Bedard. Which is transparent and petty.

Arizona clearly intends to trade Chychrun. Chychrun clearly wants to be traded. This isn't a ploy to tank. Arizona has won 3 of their last 5. NHL players are healthy scratched every single night at every single NHL rink. There is no issue here.

Garrioch mentions Canes being interested, that seems odd seeing as they need a forward more, but the Canes do like to hoard defenders:

can't this be considered tanking?
If you knew anything about this franchise at all, you'd know this team has won a ton of meaningless games every time they've had a chance to draft near the top spot including this year. We're pretty much incapable of tanking even when the GM burns the roster to the ground. If there was a Cup for meaningless games, it would be called the Coyote Cup.
