The game is tied late in the third. Vejmelka is having the game of his life, doing everything he can to prove he belongs in the Kings stable. Fiala rushes down the ice. Suddenly, out of the crowd, Chychrun appears. Fans think he’s there to lend support to his team. Out of nowhere, he turns around and smacks Vejmelka over the head with a steel chair. Fiala scores. Chychrun removes his shirt to reveal a Kings jersey underneath. Crowd goes crazy. Kings win.
Freaking awesome WWE reference from the guy that paints happy little clouds...right on brother.

Someone should lock Blake and Armstrong in a suite tonight at the game and not let em out until they finish this deal.

This is what 3 years of the Chychrun trade rumors?
No. They started about 15-16 months ago. Around thanksgiving of ‘21.

So do we expect Chychrun sitting all the way until TDL and then returning to Coyotes lineup after that?
50/50

If the guy is so fragile that the thought of actually putting him in a game would likely cause him to be injured again then he simply is not robust enough to trade for.

Is that Gavrikov or Hall or McDonagh?

Case by case basis, sitting your best player for remainder of season while picking Connor Bedard and not trading the player after claiming to do so.

That would require some explanation. And it is something the league would not want as it puts a smear on the whole thing, integrity of competition, future face of nhl etc. If this issue is not resolved this time around, it will only get more blatantly abused in the future.
So you’re saying it depends on how you personally feel about something. Whatever your own impulse is rules. Perfect system.

After a while you'd think the NHL would fine them.

Should be a time limit on how long you can hold a player out for trade reasons.
The Devils sat Taylor Hall for three games in DECEMBER before trading him to Arizona.

How long has Chychrun been out for ? Seems like it would be at least 3 games at this point.

So your number is magically whatever the last non-coyotes team did? Cool. I guess this doesn’t apply to Gavrikov, either? How about the Rangers who held McDonagh from returning from an injury for an untold amount of time? They were just less honest. Maybe that’s the problem?

So many fantasy teams impacted.
And this is 50% of the outrage from the booger eaters in this thread.

There’s no way the NHL lets the bastard child coyotes scratch this guy for more than a week right?

I bet the 32 teams have gotten a memo about 'trade-related reasons' being in tweets/releases. A team can scratch someone for whatever reason they want, and Chychrun seems fine with it, so the PA won't get involved, but it's not a great look for the league when assets are being kept off the ice weeks in advance, arguably impacting the integrity of competition - at least philosophically.
