Glad that JBD is getting some NHL action. I was kind of wondering when he'd get his next chance.

Was not expecting a Sanderson win but it’s wild how posters can’t even share why Power is in a different tier and it’s not close.

Some answers I get is , power is 100 and Sanderson is 95 and I ask them to elaborate and they say don’t pay too much attention to the scale….

Main board posts are largely a waste of time I've concluded. It seems to attract the worst kind of posts & posters. There are some exceptions, but too few.
 
I like when Jake does the Sanderson Spinorama.
I remember watching Serge Savard do the spin-o-rama move for the Montreal Canadiens. The late great Danny Gallivan doing the play by play.

Who created the "Savardian Spin-o-rama" ?

Thanks to Danny Gallivan, whenever a defender spins on the offensive blue line we are reminded of the iconic Serge Savard technique, but he wasn't the first defender pull off this move.

Sanderson is just one of those special players & Ottawa seems to have a mitt full now with Tkachuk, Stutzle, Sanderson & Chabot when he is at his best can also be a special player. Then you have a secondary set of very good players in Giroux who has been great this yr, Norris when he is healthy, DBC, Batherson, Pinto, Zub when he is healthy & Chychrun if we can get him going next yr too. They really only need to find a #1 NHL goalie they can count on who can stay healthy to take them to the next level.

They're both amazing. Stu being 21 means he'll still make a lot of mistakes as he learns to be an elite level C - I really think that's what you're seeing. When he's Draisitl's age, look out IMO. 120 points and a solid 2 way player.

Although, I guess the same argument can be made FOR Sanderson, in that he doesn't make many mistakes and plays big minutes.
 
Mannn. Sanderson is starting to rack up the PIM.. He is at 10 min so far this season..

4 for them being phantom call by ref..

Kind of unbeliable for a player that is asked to play such heavy defensive minute. Also for a player that initiate lot of contact and doesn't shy from the physical play to win the puck.

That is so impressive considering how many penalties we take + his minutes
 
I dont need to look at our cap situation... you offer to make this kid our highest paid player as soon as you are allowed to. If locking him up means giving him the biggest DMan contract since Karlsson, so be it.

Of course I would negotiate and try to get him below those numbers, but I'm not blinking if thats what it takes.

Sandy doesn't want to go to the WCs because he wants to train and properly rehab? Fine by me.

If he's chummy with Chychrun, I wonder if we'll seem videos of him eating random animal hearts.

Love Sanderson and all but paying him 8 million a year right now sounds like a lot.
