I have to think it's Calgary ...they already were deep in talks with Lindholm so I'm sure there was some sort of traction with Calgary's GM and they pivoted on the target and the return

I'd hate it if it was Jake for Hanifin. Especially as their might need to be a sizeable + in that deal from the Boston side. This offense is already paper thin.

How many games have the 4 above him played? Where does he rank in goals per game over that time? I mean, he has scored more playoff goals than Artemi Panarin over the past 4 years, not a person on the planet would take Jake over Panarin.

They won't trade Lohrei. They won't trade Poitras either.

That's not even a realistic ask from Calgary for a player who they are about to lose one way or the other. Even with an extension.

Elias Lindholm didn't get them back prospects of that caliber and he's a more regarded player than Hanifin.

Bo Horvat was last seasons big fish and he didn't bring back prospects of that caliber either.

Only because of # of games. That's an extremely facetious take.

He's not a LW, but for example Debrusk has more playoff goals since 2018 than Matthew Tkachuk, therefore Debrusk > Tkachuk in the playoffs?

I'd do Ullmark and Debrusk for RNH straight up.

Gives Edmonton a Top 6 winger and goalie and RNH gives the Bruins a Top 6 center with 5 years at $5.125m left. Then again I doubt Edmonton has any appetite for moving RNH

I’m not a big RNH fan and those are two big pieces to give up for one guy. Then again, there aren’t a lot of guys who might be available that have scored over 100 points in a season…so who knows?

I‘m terrible at trade prognostication, but I’d rather see them moved in different deals though.

Maybe JDB for Foegle and a pick/prospect. Similar production this year, Bruins save 1.25 in salary, both UFA this summer.

Then move Ullmark in a separate deal for a defenseman or Center.

Who knows?

I‘m not a huge RNH fan either….but a top line of:

Zacha - RNH - Pasta

is pretty enticing.

Yeah, the horror of getting a 30 yr old, 100 pt center who only gets paid $5m a year for the next 5 years for a rental winger who produces 1/2 as much and will cost more per year and a goalie with 1 year left. You realize RNH and Coyle get paid the same amount right?
