Yeah but they have Boquist and Richard now.
I meant more past this season if we bring in Willy. Are you thinking both are coming back? That would shock meBergeron skating at Warrior and Krejci jerseys being ordered

According to an anonymous NHL pro scout who spoke to Boston Hockey Now on Wednesday, the league is abuzz with anticipation to see how DeBrusk’s situation unfolds. The scout emphasized that if the Bruins do not reach an extension agreement soon, there must be a mutual understanding between the player and the team. Otherwise, numerous interested teams are expected to line up for a shot at acquiring DeBrusk’s services in July.
All Eyes on Potential Jake DeBrusk Trade Out of Boston
Jake DeBrusk, the talented forward for the Boston Bruins, has done everything right after initially requesting a trade out of Boston. He signed a deal that might make it easier to move him, he played as hard as he could and maintained his professional nature, and he eventually found happiness...www.yardbarker.com
Seriously what is Jimmy Murphy taking about ?
This is such crap
Some islanders hack made this story up to figure out a way to get rid of the contract the Islanders blogger consider the worst contract on the team Pageau
The Bruins are going to trade Jake DeBrusk for that? 0.0 happening
The only advantage I see it gives the Charlie Coyle ‘worstest contract in hockey’ haters a new target
This Hockey Now concept though is brilliant
If only we had internet access in the 70’s when I was a teen - I could have got all my buddies to pick a team - and use them as an annonymous source
“Bruins Now has learned (from my buddy in Mrs Johnson 8th grade music class) the Bruins and Rangers are thinking of trading Phil Esposito & Ken Hodge for Jean Rattele, Brad Park, and rookie Rick Middleton”
Trading DeBrusk for Pageau only makes sense if you have none
Way too much emphasis on driving a line around here. Pasta doesn't drive a line either but he sure works well surrounded by the right guys
I think of driving a line not in scoring impact but in style.
Debrusk style can drive a line's energy. Frederic is complementary. Etc.
Also... a player who drives a line can still perform well if a linemate isn't as good. A player who doesn't drive a line is more dependent on having good linemates.Typically a player who can drive a line is someone who can rush the puck into the offensive zone with their skating, makes plays off the rush with their skill, and keep plays alive with tenacity.

Pascal Dupuis had 59 pts one year. More than Debrusk has ever had. But he did it because he was on a line with Crosby.
Debrusk is a better player than Dupuis, but he isn't a "line driver" by the most common defintion. That's not a bad thing, most wingers aren't. Karpizov is, Panarin was but might not be any more.

He does otherwise his turnovers/giveaways wouldn't be so high, not saying that sarcastically it's just true. (Pasta I mean)He absolutely does drive a line.
Yeah I thought that was a funny claim. He absolutely does drive a line.

The opposition lines with all his turnoversHe absolutely does drive a line.
> 6.5 is where I think long and hard about it, > 7 I'd actively see what is available. I don't think anyone is going to pay him 7.5+Since DeBrusk has been central in recent discussions, I'm curious as to how he's valued among the LF.
How much is TOO much for a potential DeBrusk contract extension? Not what you'll think he gets or what he deserves. But how much would it take for you to say "time to move on"?
He absolutely does drive a line.
Eh I don’t agree.
He’s an extremely productive player but, by far, his biggest attribute is getting to the right spot and blasting deftly accurate one timers. Along with being a sneaky good passer off the cycle.
However, he isn’t good at carrying the puck up ice and leading a rush. That to me is what makes a “line driver” and he doesn’t have that. His PP carry-in’s are hard to watch much of the time.
And yeah, the brutal turnovers.
Pasta the Passenger.
Never mind the solstice, it's officially summer.
The key takeaway is that the <cough cough> "report" <cough cough> is from Murph. A dude well known for throwing volumes of bullshit against the wall in a hope that something will actually stick. His track record for being right is literally non-existent. The only thing worse than his claims is his incredibly thin skin and inability to withstand any actual questioning on what he "reports". If he's saying it you can all rest assured that it's not true and will never come true.According to an anonymous NHL pro scout who spoke to Boston Hockey Now on Wednesday, the league is abuzz with anticipation to see how DeBrusk’s situation unfolds. If DeBrusk's family wanted to help their Son get a better contract they might try to do so. The father would have relationships NHL Pro Scouts and he could theoretically have them contact a schill in the media to start some buzz. I would presume using someone who is well known for blasting information and for being ambiguous with sources might be more willing to publish without mentioning a kown relationship between a source and the subject of the article in DeBrusk. The key takeaway is that the <cough cough> "report" <cough cough> is from Murph. And Jimmy, if you're reading this (and we all know you are) why don't you actually make some calls and do some actual digging instead of ripping off Islander fanbois posts from here and claiming it's a source?
I think you're being a bit too conspiratorial here. A blogger put out a possibility he dreamed up for a trade (calling him media is a pretty loose description of media given who he works for). It then gets reblasted by someone else who works for his company. This turns into people thinking this is a real rumor. Projecting that out to Louie Debrusk is a bridge too far here IMO.If DeBrusk's family wanted to help their Son get a better contract they might try to do so. I don't know what happened, but I wouldn't be shocked if the DeBrusk family is using their resources to put pressure on the B's at the negotiation table and maybe that involves the media.
I think it depends what one means by 'drive'. By your definition I would agree, Pasta is not a good line driver for exactly the reasons you stated. But if you were to say that he drives production on pretty much any line you care to put him on, then that would also be true.
To me, 'driving a line' means what you said, and DeBrusk is more capable in that regard than Pasta. But others may perhaps interpret it differently, maybe??
