Ooof. Tough question as asked.

thanks @DominicT

if the Bruins are in playoff contention at the trade deadline I dont see them moving him. Just not their usual MO.

Having said that, if they know team JDB is asking for $ they just cant fit going forward they maybe forced to move him.

Just for Pete’s sake dont do it for nickel and dime Jags.

If you do not want them to do the usual Bruin thing and trade him for a couple of jags, it might be best to trade him sooner than later. Not only am I worried about his production, but unlike Dom, I do not trust Sweneely under the gun.

I think we've lost so many forwards Debrusk by attrition has vaulted to the give a blank check to phase. Imagine handing 10 mill combined to Debrusk and Frederic. nightmare

I see DeBrusk not a money follower but a quality of life guy

Goldie & Sweens already know his worth

Donny let’s get it done!!!!!
looks at Alex Killorn's last contract and what he produced. would I pay Jake 7 yrs 31 mill, yes. Is Jake and elite player who drives the offense, no

$4.5M? Lol.

People really aren’t processing what the cap jump will do. It’s not going to go to players who are already under contract or to bottom line/pair players.

$7M a year is not elite player money.

Goldie knows a guy who scored 37 goals last 82 games, is multi dimensional and played last five months with a foot fracture is getting over 6 M per

DeBrusk team first guy as well

There were 10 players last year who scored 25 or more goals who were paid under 4.5 mil, and majority signed that contract before scoring 25, including Debrusk, 4 of the 10 are 30 and over, one is a 21 year old Dawson Mercer.

Thats an incredible low ball offer.

Guys rekax.

He wants to be here and
Bruins want him

Goldie all over it

Sweens will get around to him

Great post

Donny should fire over that or just tweek a tad to 6/40 NMC 1-4 years and then 15 last 2 seasons

Get that out of way and ask Pastrnak who’s at Warrior what’s your buddy Nylander think of Boston

Be nice in 24-25 to have three 27 year-olds in top 4 wingers like pasta, Willie, and Jake
If you did that there’d be no money left for centres

Debrusk>bertuzzi
For sure. More well-rounded without a doubt. After the deadline last season and knowing how DS likes to re-sign his deadline acquisitions I was wondering where that left Jake, knowing the cap situation over the next year or so.

After unloading Hall to clear space for this season and after not signing Bert, the situation became more clear. Fairly evident that DS sees Jake as someone who has a place with the organization if he so desires. The money will be there even if Jake holds out and gets a bit more after having a good upcoming season. I'm sure DS would like to get a deal done this summer, but even if he doesn't I still think he will work out something with Jake like he did with Pasta.
