I'm not a conspiracy theory guy, but something was amiss with the teams chemistry this season. I wonder if this move fixes that?

I liked Trouba as a physical d-man but he has become more of a liability than a deterrent over the last season and start of this one. It seemed like he was always backing up and giving opposing forwards time and space instead of taking it away.

Does Lavi put the C on another sweater this season?

Looks like Trouba specifically wanted Anaheim and had his agent work hard to make it happen over the last 24 hours.

I hope he and his wife are happy there. I imagine they plan to stay there long term if he chose that over CBJ.

The more I look at it the better the trade gets. We really got Urho, a 4th, and probably 2 2nds (conservative). The cost to get rid of 8 million plus over 2 years is gonna cost you quite a bit of assets nowadays.

I'm not a 'deterrent' believer, but to be factual, Trouba wasn't present in the Capitals/Wilson game.

If you really want to throw up in your mouth, look at that lineup that night, as it was what cost Gorton/JD their jobs:

I remain pretty convinced that Lindgren isn't actually good at defending either. He gets cooked away from Fox.

I'm of the belief, of course, that the correct number of defensemen in your lineup who can move the puck is six, but at least this guy can ostensibly defend according to the stats and very limited viewings.

So you’re saying Trouba is the reason this team isn’t playing good right now? Not Zibanejads horrid play? Or Lindgrens AHL level play? Or Kreider playing good every 3rd game? Or Miller making high school mistakes? Trouba isn’t the fall guy here his contract is (was).
