If anything the Rangers owe the Panthers a hell of a lot more than one missed elbow. The Panthers have been running guys all post season. They are due for a beating and at least a reckoning. The Rangers have the personnel to call them out if need be.

The only reason they "aren't the same" is because Rodrigues missed even worse than Trouba did. He was somehow out of position even further than Trouba when he reached.

These are identical plays. Stop it. This is silly at this point. The tortured logic required to get to your position isn't even worth debating.
still was an elbow to his shoulder and then atleast clipped his head, at this point it's more than fair to assume this wasnt just an accident. an elbow to the shoulder is already extremely dangerous and even if buddy attempted it and missed it doesnt mean it was right, just one connected and the other didnt. if it had connected and buddy went down then there would be the same conversation except in this case Trouba is a repeat offender.

Is this thread still open?

Especially with the Ranger haters and apologists doing their best back flips on Lomberg and Rodrigues?

So, if you can read intent into one, we can read intent into the other. Stop trying to separate these things. Rodrigues lead with ALL elbow on his hit and I still think it was just due to him mistiming it. Either intent matters in both scenarios or it matters in neither scenario.

This is so silly. The hypocrisy is staggering.

The amount of twisting required to pretend that one hit was demonic and the other was nothing is striking. I said it before, but the logic being used to push these opinions is just so utterly tortured. It's just bad faith.

Panthers and reckoning seldom co-exist. Bennett fights Hampus. Tkachuk turtles regularly. They escape justice and just desserts.

one was prob little too low and the other is aimed around the head. they are different, both arent good but one is worse. which one do u think is worse? aiming for the torso or the head?

It’s not that. The fact that there is no outrage against Rodrigues or others on Florida from you all is telling.

The head, if it was touched, was incidental contact,
So you don't understand that people are outraged at Trouba because he does this all the time. If Rodriguez were routinely doing this as part of the way he plays then people would be more outraged. I always find it amusing when people act as though guys like Trouba or Tom William are just randomly picked as targets of ire for no reason at all.

well said. these fans are just biased and if it was the other way around they would be just as mad. cant do wrong as long as your wearing a Rangers jersey

Trouba is a POS but why wouldn't you want a bunch of those POS on D, dipsy doodling around doesn't win cups. Trouba just keeping the spirit of hockey alive and you all want to see it die and see cats come in uncontested through the middle and do whatever they want lmao no wonder there's the most 100 point scorers in recent history, everybody cries when D men try to get violent on the forwards.

It's why the playoffs are the best , no free ice

Effective defence includes strong body-to-body physicality. Poor defence compensates with desperate, flailing elbows.

If Trouba was suspended he doesn't make that brutal aggressive attack on the PK in OT leaving the Panthers with so much time and space on that 2 on 1 goal to end the game.

Maybe it's for the best? hah

Yup.

No clue what Trouba was possibly thinking here.

Takes himself completely out of position for no reason, leaving a 2 on 1 down low for Florida and a clean shot from the slot.

What is amazing in the twitter verse and in here is the amount of Bruins' still crying about Florida and the officials.

Florida broke them. Their entire existence is just crying at the moon about "Florida was very mean to us and we are original 6.

not against playing hard but going for the head which could potentially end players career, that part can move on. no room in hockey for head hunters and I love the old school way.

Wouldn't a better punishment have been if Trouba was forced to wear two chicken wings on his back for the rest of the series ?

Haha. Funny take and not at all factual or relevant to my comment.
- Did I mention officiating in the bruins series? No
- did I mention the bruins at all? No
- original 6? No

The panthers are a tough group, they were the much better team against a bruins team who’s record belies their lack of talent.

But the Panthers are what they are, and my comment was accurate. Don’t use my post as a launching pad for your ridiculous opinion piece. It’s lame and transparent.
