Nope, they're different. Quinn is about release and accuracy. Oloffson has the one timer that Quinn doesn't possess, while also having the same type of release and accuracy
I don’t disagree, I’ll just add- seeing how hard Quinn works, I’ll bet he has a nasty one-timer by the time he’s the same age Olofsson broke in

Based on my sporadic viewing of Quinn, he's much better than Olofsson about knowing where to go without the puck. Ollie telegraphs his shot too much. He's much more predictable.

Where they're especially different is that Quinn is always attacking, he likes the puck on his stick and taking it to the net. Oloffson prefers to find open ice and set-up for his shot

Another way to look at it is that no team has ever kept a young player in the minors when playing so well. Every team in NHL history would have brought him up by now. But I guess Buffalo has too many young players, and not enough players in Rochester.

Really? They are clearly kicking his contract down the road a year. Smart move long-term. Then again, wonder why crowds are under 10,000? You don't have your best players out there

Shoulda got one game in

It’s also a silent protest. The team doesn’t listen to anything on social media (whether that’s a good thing or not is another discussion). This is the only way they’ll listen.

The Sabres aren’t the Leafs, where they’ll sell out regardless. Plus the border issues doesn’t help them as much.

Also some chatter about Quinn and JJ not being very happy about their contribution/compensation equation.

This kind of speculation without a source should be eliminated from the boards. They're in the minors for cripes sake. I find this extremely hard to believe.

They're in the minors, but playing at a level where they would be called up on any other team in league history.

Calm down. I didn't present it as fact. The speculation comes from their on ice demeanor. Could you blame either if they were frustrated with their position?

Do they deserve a callup? Probably, but worrying about what they’re doing or how they’re feeling should take a backseat. You don’t think the big club appreciates keeping the veterans around? Why should Quinn or Peterka potentially pouting matter? They’re locks or in Peterkas case close to locks for next season. I don’t care what a 20 year old thinks.

We don't know the conversations that Adams had with them when they were originally sent down and as the season has progressed.

It could be that they have had regular conversations and it was framed as they should expect to play the whole season in Rochester because they want them to improve their game in the minors and set themselves up to earn a spot in camp for 22-23.

It very easily could be something where being in Rochester isn't some huge negative and is the plan working the way everyone expected.

I mean, yeah, I could. They're 20. They're AHL rookies. Quinn can blame bad luck for not having more run with the Sabres earlier in the season. It doesn't make a ton of sense to bring either up now. The big club is playing well. They have viable lines. Rochester is fighting to make the playoffs.
