That's not the point. The point is they didn't call a penalty and consequently blew the play dead because Boston had possession. Instead, they blew the play dead on an odd-man rush because Oshie had a cut on his nose. That's why Edwards freaked-out. Justified or not.LOL what? A high stick is a high stick. If you've ever played or even watched you would know that youre always responsible for your stick. It was a missed call period. If the same happened to a Bruins player Jack Edwards would be having an aneurysm if the play wasn't stopped with the Caps going the other way.
lol he was like first time he was happy to announce 5 minutes left in a game or something.I enjoyed listening to Edwards last night.
It was deemed 'incidental' as he had been hit from behind by a Caps player which was what caused the high stick to occur. So you are saying it wasn’t a high sticking penalty?
lolHe's the perfect commentator for that fan base.
Hows so? They played each other seasons prior with Columbus.Well, good thing I never watch Bruins games
Well, you do realize I watch the Columbus feed when they play each otherHows so? They played each other seasons prior with Columbus.
That’s not how the rule worksIt was deemed 'incidental' as he had been hit from behind by a Caps player which was what caused the high stick to occur.
people wanting him fired/off air is cancel culture
lol
Not only did this comment make me laugh, but also reminded me of this...
Apparently it does, as that's the exact explanation the refs gave for not calling a penalty on it.T
That’s not how the rule works
It was as much as penalty as was ovi nutshot, how’s that?So you are saying it wasn’t a high sticking penalty?
Revisionist history, go watch ovi nut shot and tell me about being responsible for your stick. At least this high stick was inadvertent.LOL what? A high stick is a high stick. A high stick is a high stick thats it. Unless its a follow through on a shot. It was a missed call and its not debatable. Ovi has nothing to do with this whatsoever.Revisionist history, go watch ovi nut shot and tell me about being responsible for your stick. At least this high stick was inadvertent.
You're right...We need more whiners in society to get things that we want...Commence the temper tantrums! So we aren't allowed to want someone who is bad at their job to be replaced with someone better? I'd advise not using "cancel culture" as a crutch for being horrible at what you do.
Yea it does, your talking about stick responsibility from a team with guy that took a purposeful nut shot . It’s debatable because the refs and the league chose to ignore it, so let’s just ignore this one too then. Unless you want to debate a purposeful nut shot to an inadvertent high stick to a guy that was falling down.A high stick is a high stick thats it. Unless its a follow through on a shot. It was a missed call and its not debatable. Ovi has nothing to do with this whatsoever.
Two parts to this. One, "cancel culture" is a dog whistle term, and using it only strengthens bigots. So, while I agree about the term, I absolutely disagree that Jack is bad at his job. He's an incredibly talented broadcaster. He's always prepared, adds a personality to the role, and his job is to describe the play for a Bruins fan's perspective. So we aren't allowed to want someone who is bad at their job to be replaced with someone better? I'd advise not using "cancel culture" as a crutch for being horrible at what you do.
Or, and hear me out becuase this is kind of wild, we hold people to a standard when employees and if they don't maintain that standard we find someone who will. You're right...We need more whiners in society to get things that we want...Commence the temper tantrums!
What is your purpose with making this thread? He was annoyed that the game got stopped when Bruins were going to have a 4v2. He also didn't "wish for injury". Listening comprehension?
"Oshie took a high stick"? No he didn't. Did you even listen to what Edwards said? There also was no penalty called on the play.
