Remember when Chara was fighting someone on Tampa I think it was Coburn? He said something along the lines Chara is going to take him to the afterlife? He’s comically bad
So you are saying it wasn’t a high sticking penalty?I can’t stand Jack edwards as I have to listen to him night in and night out, but you set this up purposely deleting key pieces that remove all context. They were bitching about blowing the play dead when the bruins had an odd man rush, then didn’t even call a penalty. The high stick came from a bruins player falling on his ass after checked from behind, and wasn’t even facing oshie!
He may call for the injury of players, but at least hes entertaining!I dislike Edwards but I feel like he's a necessary evil.
He's just a homer fan caught up in the emotion. It isn't that deep.He may call for the injury of players, but at least hes entertaining!

its not that deep for me either I just dont like emHe's just a homer fan caught up in the emotion. It isn't that deep.
I mean its not like the guy melted down over the sight of an opposing player wearing his own number playing for his own team in a retro jersey.Maybe it’s just me, but in recent years Edwards seems to be noticeably slipping from “passionate fan with an unapologetic bias” toward something more like “whiny shit-stirrer who always has some grievance to bitch about”.
NHL refereering is indecipherable, for sure. Nobody can figure it out. Stuff like this is happening every game, it seems. That is one issue. Edwards being a total tool is another issue.
If that happened to the fans of any team not from boston, fans will think, "huh, dodged a bullet on the double minor but we lost the odd-man rush. oh well, probably worked out in our favor." Why folks from boston with all their city's championship successes in recent decades still have that damn chip on their shoulders is beyond me.
except in follow throughs? The rule says you are responsible for your stick at all times
Jack Edwards ≠ Bruins Fans, and not all Bruins fans like Jack Edwards. I seriously think 50% of the hate on here for Bruins fans is people who attribute everything Jack Edwards says to the whole fan base. It's infuriating.
Exactly. All fanbases should understand this phenomenon, as all are guilty of it, but alas this is the internet.Meh. Like the Leafs your more vocal fans are unbareable, they also tend to defend the joke that is Jack Edwards. Unfortunately the rest of the fan base gets looped in with the loud mouuth morons, happens to all fanbases and the more you have the worse it looks.

i think if you see blood its probably good and fair for refs to call the play deadEvery fan would react the same way if you hear a whistle on an odd man rush. It wasn't even a penalty called against the Bruins so why did they blow the play dead?
Looked very minor. Oshie certainly had the ability to skate off but made the smart play of staying one the ice to get a call.i think if you see blood its probably good and fair for refs to call the play dead

It did, but those kinds of things can always be deceiving, depth of cut etc can be hard to judge, better to stay on the safe side. I agree he made the smart play.Looked very minor. Oshie certainly had the ability to skate off but made the smart play of staying one the ice to get a call.
