I think that is true though.INB4 Bruins fans come out of the woodwork to deify Edwards and Marchand.

Edwards no, I don't like super homer announcers. Marchand maybe, but only when he's playing hard and skillfully, even when playing physical, but not when he's spearing/slew footing. Just irritates me and disrupts the rhythm of the team by taking penalties.I think that is true though.
Well, you're like 3 pages in and no one has said it, so... cool?INB4 Bruins fans come out of the woodwork to deify Edwards and Marchand.

LOL what? A high stick is a high stick. If you've ever played or even watched you would know that youre always responsible for your stick. It was a missed call period. If the same happened to a Bruins player Jack Edwards would be having an aneurysm if the play wasn't stopped with the Caps going the other way.I can’t stand Jack edwards as I have to listen to him night in and night out, but you set this up purposely deleting key pieces that remove all context. They were bitching about blowing the play dead when the bruins had an odd man rush, then didn’t even call a penalty. The high stick came from a bruins player falling on his ass after checked from behind, and wasn’t even facing oshie! All in all this a pretty misleading crap thread posted by hf boards leader in crap threads.
Except, he didn't get the call. In a game the Capitals were trailing 3-2. Which is exactly the situation I've been told by people who are experts on "game management" that it kicks in.Looked very minor. Oshie certainly had the ability to skate off but made the smart play of staying one the ice to get a call.
I think that is the only exception, which was not applicable in this situation.except in follow throughs?

lol @ that moment he goes all in small stack absolutely dominated with no outsI like how he tried to make it sound like Oshies visor did the damage on purpose and all by itself.
Both him and the color guy that can’t pronounce any vowels but “ah” are nauseating. But that certainly isn’t all the reason Boston is hated. Part of it is the hatred of Boston teams in general.Jack Edwards ≠ Bruins Fans, and not all Bruins fans like Jack Edwards. I seriously think 50% of the hate on here for Bruins fans is people who attribute everything Jack Edwards says to the whole fan base. It's infuriating.
For someone who can't stand Jack Edwards, you sound an awful lot like Jack Edwards.
NHL refereering is indecipherable, for sure. Nobody can figure it out. Stuff like this is happening every game, it seems. That is one issue. Edwards being a total tool is another issue.
If that happened to the fans of any team not from boston, fans will think, "huh, dodged a bullet on the double minor but we lost the odd-man rush. oh well, probably worked out in our favor." Why folks from boston with all their city's championship successes in recent decades still have that damn chip on their shoulders is beyond me.
Then Edward’s was right they shouldn’t have blown the play dead

Nah60 High-sticking
8.1 Injured Player
Referee missed calling 60.3
Likely the Linesman saw it (he can't call a high sticking penalty), and blew the whistle as per 8.1
You would love Marchand on your team, and without Edwards and Marchand what would HF talk about? Seething about both of them is one of HF’s favorite past times.INB4 Bruins fans come out of the woodwork to deify Edwards and Marchand.

Sports fandom is not meant to be a sober and passionless factual analysis of the merits of the play on the ice. It is about wanting to crush your enemies, to see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of their women.I know it's just sports and entertainment, but Edwards kind of makes me sad.
Listening to how he can wish injury on other people, and being willfully blind and ignorant is kind of just a bummer to me.
