Jack Edwards being Jack Edwards

It's okay. He meant more than one Edward.

That's still not how you use an apostrophe. Contractions and possessives. Not plurals or any random word ending in "s"

In more on-topic trains of thought: Jack Edwards continues saying dumb hyperbolic stuff. In other news: water, wet. Sky, blue. More at 11.

Jack Edward's is a generic Kentucky bourbon I'm sure. Picturing three years, off-white label, liter bottles, a few made up medals from a county fair in the 1910's.

"He’s entertaining" isn’t an excuse.

Don Cherry was "entertaining" as well, but the number of hockey players who suffered brain damage because of him is staggering. His commentary played a major role in popularizing the type of hits that the NHL is still struggling to take out of the game. As a coach, he played a part in the rise of fighting and enforcers back in the early 70’s then as a commentator he convinced people that it was part of the game, even though pre-1970 fights and hits were nothing like the stuff he advocated.
You have no clue about the history of hockey if you think that stuff was popularized then. If you want to go on a crusade against someone at least know what the hell you're talking about.

Long shift or not he was still sucker punching guys and Maroon threw his ass down. Too bad he didn’t bash his face into the ice three or four times.

As if Tampa didn't earn the Bruins standing up for themselves... four on one on Marchand who did nothing to instigate for once and picking spots all night long (much like last game). Give them credit, they know who to target with the playoffs approaching.

That’s going to be a great series. Hopefully neither team screws up in round 1.

Maroon throws pillows.

It’s funny, when both guys were fresh and fought before, it was all Chara. Maroon was happy enough to wrestle him down knowing that he spent a long time on the ice. Hell, he was sucking wind getting up off his back.

also, who did Chara sucker punch? Or are we typically making something up here?

He was thrown down pretty hard, likely had the wind knocked out him.

One of my favorite Jack Edwards moments is actually from a game not involving the Bruins:

I can't listen to the guy. He's like a spoiled child calling a game. It's quite honestly, ridiculous.

Marchand did nothing to instigate? Cany ou really say that for sure? You think he wasnt running his mouth all game or did something that carried over from another previous game? Theyre in the same division, Marchand has done something to deserve that and then some.

Chara did start swinging pretty quick there when Maroon wasnt ready for it. And Maroon and Chara have fought 3 times now and in all 3 fights combined not a single good punch has been landed by either of them lol. They both love to wrestle and not actually exchange punches. Chara has done this in any fight with a guy close to his weight class his whole career except for Koci once.

Maroon threw down Chara but he should have kept going and banged his face into the ice a couple of times.

That just demonstrates what an honorable player Maroon is, unlike the throat-crosschecking Zdeno Choirboy.

But of all the scrums that night, the one that stands out in my mind was one where Krug was locked up with, I believe, Cirelli, and the linesman was holding Cirelli while Krug was repeatedly wailing away on his ribs, just to make everything, ya know.....fair.

Nothing tops the Caps announcer on Wilson's hit on Zadorov. "Hit, killed, destroyed"

Don cherry was more dangerous, there were people who actually thought he made sense and wasn't completely senile. Edwards is harmless, no one takes him seriously.

I personally think the reason Bruins fans think their team is the best in the league is because Jack Edwards over rates the hell out of them.
