Jack Edwards being Jack Edwards

Here's a rare video of Jack Edwards talking about something other than hockey:

Once upon a time, he was a SportsCenter anchor and not just a hockey announcer

Jack Edwards has said some bizarre stuff over the years but tonight in a game also seen on NHL Network he said this

"Reminds me of the summer I grew to be bigger than my older sister and I pinned her to the ground and said 'I've been counting'." - Jack Edwards...followed by absolute dead silence from Andy Brickley.

What's the problem with that comment? Pretty obvious what he means by it. Hell I can remember the first time I caught my sisters arm when she took a swing at me. She knew at that moment that there would be no more picking on her baby brother lol.

Because talking about physically dominating your sister and pinning her to the ground while in the middle of calling a national hockey game is f***ing creepsville.

Thread title gave me a chuckle. I know people love putting senseless apostrophes everywhere but throwing one into a run if the mill name is a new one

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL it's the delighted chuckles at the end that did me in

I'd love a video of Jack Edwards commentating on historical "assaults" as if they were delivered by a Boston player. Like Todd Bertuzzi on Steve Moore.

"You see any infraction here Jack?"
"Not at all, just a good hockey hit. Maybe a bit late but nothing out of the ordinary, gotta keep your head up out there"

The likes of Adams or Cherry belong to the WWE and not to an alleged "real" sport. I get that they're entertaining to their crowd but they do an immense disservice to the credibility of the league and especially the team they cover. And then, there's Tim Peel...

To each his own I guess. I didn't take it that way because he obviously didn't mean it that way.
