I hated Grans in his draft year. Toolsy but so inconsistent. AHL career gone about as expected. OK throw-in I guess. If they actually valued him at about a 2nd pick, thumbs down.

I'll take the late 1 and two 2s (hopefully this year, 34 would be great), but they had to take on cap to do it. This is a fine first move for Briere. Just deciding to move on would have been a small win for me.

They did piss away tons of value holding on to this guy and kissing his ass for years though.
