I'm excited about the next couple of days, but I'm also used to being disappointed when people keep pushing the "expect a lot of moves soon due to..." stuff, so I'm completely prepared for December 1 to pass by with a whimper.

Not sure if you are a hockey fan but the same thing happened with the NHL expansion drafts. They talked about a flurry of moves before and nothing of substance happened.

Yeah they have 2 players who can play 2nd, and 1 who can play 3rd. Even if you prefer Espinal to Biggio and would have him starting at either position, going into the season with Espinal as the only reasonable option at 3rd is just not smart. All else equal you sign the 3rd baseman.

Could they have gotten a better position if he signed elsewhere? I don’t know how these things work.
