I wouldn't include Arber Xhekaj or any player who fills a unique role.

Dach was a unique scenario, in which a team willingly parted ways with a promising player to tank and luck out on Bedard. I don't see it happening again this offseason.

I don't think it's as easy to replicate that type of transaction as many think. At least not with a player with Dach's potential upside. The stars would all have to all fall in perfect alignment to pull that off again.

The whole point of this f***ing saga is that RUMOR had it that PLD ABSOLUTELY wanted to play in Montreal and only in Montreal. Which HAVE to mean that there was NO WAY even traded that he'd accept a long term contract anywhere and just wait for the UFA period where playing in Montreal would have happen and he'd probably take a hometown discount for it.

'Cause that's what HAVING TO PLAY FOR A TEAM means. Anything else would be bullcrap. And not worth of our time.
