Yep Crosby is training with Barron.

Barron is awesome in scrimmage but in tight checking games with pressure...forget it....so soft..awful defensevily

In a heartbeat for Dubois..
Easy
I get what you saying , Barron has good potential offensively but defensively... he aint that good. I would flip in a trade for Dubois but i guess people always overreact over prospects

Winnipeg really struggles to keep and acquire talent in many fields. My wife is a nurse practitioner that gets flown in from Toronto to northern Manitoba to work on Indian reserves because they can't find enough ppl.

Winnipeg is surely not a place that attracts players. But what the Jets have goes beyond just the city.

That room is toxic. When you have a number of players wanting out one after another, including a coach leaving, add to that when the new coach comes in, he strips Wheeler of the captaincy, it points to something that runs deep in that room.

I'm perfectly happy to have both Dach and Dubois on our team, but I agree that $9M is a no-go. I don't care about his age, proximity to UFA, etc., Dubois would not get more than Caufield money from me.
I also think 9M is too much, within today's marketplace figures.

It's surely true that PLD's agent is looking for maximum dollars as this will be Dubois' last big pay cheque if he signs the maximum 8 years.

However, he could also sign strictly for 5 years, bringing him to year 30 in the first year of a next deal.

IMO, that works for HuGo looking to be relevant again in three years, through the 2025-2026 season, where PLD will be smack in the middle of his prime years as a 27-year old, Suzuki will be in his prime, as well as Suzuki at 26 years of age and where Caufield will be entering his prime as a 24-year-old turning 25 in January that year.

Matheson would remain a relevant veteran on the blue line at 31 years of age.

Guhke would be entrenched on the blue line in a top-4 role as a vibrant 23 year-old, still.

Xhekaj would have accumulated a few more talismans of death as a 24-year old.

Dach would also be just 24 and, yet, coming into his own as he would be entering his prime as well.

Anderson would only be 31.

Mailloux and Hutson would likely be in their sophomore seasons, the righty as a 22 year-old and the lefty as a 21-year old going on 22 mid-season.

Would Roy be part of the roster as a 22-year-old?

Smith, or whomever we pick?

It all starts at the top.Look at the mess we had here for so many years. They need a complete house cleaning there .

If Bradley Beal can be traded for less than a first rd pick because of a restrictive trading environment… I guess this whole LAK/MTL thing is a big wet fart

He should take one for the team and wave his NTC. He must know he’s not worth $8M next year and $9M the following. Can’t see him still playing long after that.
Habs would need to take half of his salary to hope this trade to happen
Yes I have seen PLD, especially in the playoffs, very closely.

Not impressed.

Dach is 2 full inches taller than PLD with reach for dayssssssssssssss, and he continues to fill into his frame and get stronger and stronger.
:laugh::laugh::laugh:

They are both 6'4" 214 pounds.

This sounds so Trumpesque.. "two full inches taller and he will get stronger and stronger !!! " whoo ! He's so good at hockey, nobody plays better than Dach, i know him and gave him few tricks and his wife is beautiful , nearly as much sexy as my daughter .....:naughty:

Laine also requested a trade from the Jets. It wasn't just PLD asking for a trade from Columbus and Laine was the price to pay.

They both asked to be traded from their respective teams. Evander Kane also request out of Jets. Roslovic did, as well. Trouba also. And even Paul Maurice left mid-season.
This. You should make this post 10 times per day, this for a while , Adam. Enough of those claiming Dubois is a crying baby

We know. It's being discussed with great anticipation & interest.

Not just Caufield, but Jack Hughes & Trevor Zegras too. All Brisson clients, who was also hanging around for Grand Prix Weekend.
That explains a lot. It’s a client junket.

However as far as PLD goes, he seems to be a lot more visible this off season than he ever was in prior years by figuring prominently at public events including good causes. Just the time he spent with Kevin Raphael’s group was incredible.

They are trying to convince Dubois to play for the US in the next international tournament.. he’s got dual citizenship. 50% or more of Canadians don’t appreciate his talent like they should.
