There’s an Eric Stephens article from yesterday that talks about pros & cons of PLDThe athletic piece shows Dubois but when opened its not showing anything. And instead talks about helle and the kings nothing with dubois
Talking about "Team Friendly" does not mean they are underpaid. Suzuki got fair value for what he did the previous season. Caufield is the one who could have gone mercenary but obviously wanted long term and wanted to stay in Montreal. The idea is to leave a decent percentage of cap for down the road.I personally don't like the implication that Suzuki seems himself and Caufield as underpaid. If I were Hughes, I would correct that narrative before it takes hold.
Why would i have to listen to the podcast? Unless Chevy or Hughes is talking to the press about trade details it's all speculation . Anyone who believes otherwise is kidding themselves It's fun discussing these things but in the long run nobody has a clueLike anyone else he put's 1+1 together and comes up with 2. It's an opinion but given his years on sports radio in Winnipeg he is better placed than you or me to get a feel for the ask. He states very clearly Chevy has no choice but to get a high return on Dubois. He gave up Laine for him and his tenure will be judged on how this all works out. How about listening to the podcast instead of asking questions out of the blue.

Plus, I’d be willing to bet Suzuki knows exactly what, and how, he’s communicating. He never used to the phrase underpaid. He said fair for both sides.
So then why the question if you already know the answer? Why would i have to listen to the podcast? Unless Chevy or Hughes is talking to the press about trade details it's all speculation . More like great personality.'' reasonable talented '' sounds like ''she's alright looking''![]()
only the leverage was from the fans .... fans read a note and ran from thatMontreal being used as a leverage. What a f***ing surprise...

No narrative to adjust or walk back.
The "Team First" concept both the coach and management are continually talking about...What do you think he's communicating? Spell it out.
Two different price points though. Some of the assets needed to trade for PLD would have less prominence in a 2OA trade.I wonder if that is the case... Kent would rather spend assets on Fantilli then do them for PLD
yes, but the young guy comes in cheaper for 3 years. maybe the thought? Two different price points though. Some of the assets needed to trade for PLD would have less prominence in a 2OA trade.
starting to think the same.... this PLD is HUGE click baitThe only way PLD comes is that he refuses to sign with them and wants mtl 100%
Ill believe it wen I see it...alll click bates
Just starting?starting to think the same.... this PLD is HUGE click bait
Cheaper on a cost control basis but just in terms of the type of assets needed to get the 2OA would be day and night when compared to what it would take to land PLD.yes, but the young guy comes in cheaper for 3 years. maybe the thought?
ya I get it... just so tired of never having a real #1 centre.Cheaper on a cost control basis but just in terms of the type of assets needed to get the 2OA would be day and night when compared to what it would take to land PLD.
It's pretty frustrating to see how bad we are at acquiring talent.
Always second, never first.
