Hagel is a moron. Cocky SOB who hasn’t won anything. “We didn’t change anything so I’m not surprised the score is 4-1. F U Hagel! Loser comment from a loser player
He’s a moron for basically telling the truth and the way it is?Hagel is a moron. Cocky SOB who hasn’t won anything. “We didn’t change anything so I’m not surprised the score is 4-1. F U Hagel! Loser comment from a loser player
Heard that last night. What a crazy stat, never would have believed it.Tampa is 1-8 in playoff OTs since 2020.
The lone win came last year against the Leafs.
They’re horrible questions. I really can’t believe they keep doing itI don't disagree with you but I find those questions awkward.
'What does Alex mean to the team?' while he's sitting right next to you lol.
Next game I would do this actually:inserting Bunting only makes sense because Jarnkrok needs to come off the top line. You can place him on the 2nd or 4th line and scratch ZAR.

This is why you should look at numbers and not just they eye test, it prevents you from having this kind of overreaction to a few good games. The eye test tells a different story... he's been one of our best forwards the past 3 games. He is already our 3rd best winger and has played just 5 games in his career.
One year, let's see if tuch can repeat what he did this year where he had a much higher shooting % than usual. Are there any other examples of players who turned into ppg players in the NHL who didn't have more impressive numbers than knies?Better numbers than Tuch had in the same league at the same age and Tuch broke out as a star power forward this year
Before the playoffs started I thought they would make it to the ECF at the very least. If they play this way against Boston, I don’t think it will end well for them. Tampa is average at best and Vasi has been awful. Don’t think we can expect the same from Boston. If the Leafs somehow close this out on Thursday with a good effort from start to finish, I'm goin into the match up against Boston confident that they can do it.
I can't stand Hagel, but his comments were totally fine in my opinion. He was spot on. We got massively outplayed in G3, so there realistically should have been no change from their perspective.Hagel is a moron. Goal saved is equal to goal scored in my books. Amazing hockey sense by that kid.Not enough said about knies taking that puck off the goal line
Not bad for a kid thats played less than 10 games
The thing is we don’t really know how they’ll play or react because it’ll be brand new territory. All I can say is the pressure of the 1st round narrative will be gone. Maybe they feel loose and energized or they feel even tighter. I think they’ll end up playing a lot better since the first round monkey will be off their shoulder. It’s not over yet though. Gotta bury TB early and often on ThursdayIf the Leafs somehow close this out on Thursday with a good effort from start to finish, I'm goin into the match up against Boston confident that they can do it.
True, I’m just as fired as Biz Nasty is LOL. I overreacted a bit. He’s still a prick though. Such a punchable faceI can't stand Hagel, but his comments were totally fine in my opinion. I will say, those comments were more fitting after the 1st then they were he 2nd IMO. Despite losing the 2nd period on the scoresheet, I actually thought we started to generate scoring chances and sustained O-zone time for the 1st time in 5 periods of play. You could see TB was actually starting to sit back a bit, and if not for a bit of a lucky Stamkos goal, I could have seen it tied up at one point in that frame. We started to break through in that 2nd, even if it did not initially show that way on the scoreboard.
So his comments were true in the sense of why should they change anything from G2 to G3, but the timing was odd given the fact that they started to slip in that 2nd IMO
The good think about it is, it’s just not one guy.The really good news in all this is that I have seen plenty of teams that go deep pull this sort of thing off in the first round. Sometimes it galvanizes a group. It's not pretty looking from an effort standpoint but, hey a win is a win is a win.
Would love to see a blowout to end the series and let them rest up.
They can of course play better. But I think once they finally win a series they'll turn it up a notch when that weight is lifted. Before the playoffs started I thought they would make it to the ECF at the very least. If they play this way against Boston, I don’t think it will end well for them. Tampa is average at best and Vasi has been awful. Don’t think we can expect the same from Boston.
As Kypreos would say - "they just know when they can get away with it"Except for Sergachev breaking his stick on a crosscheck them scoring a goal 30 seconds later. But hey its the special Tampa crosscheck that never gets called.
