Sure you can. The team is winning. Bunting is not gaurnteed his place back.

It wouldn't be insane at all.
You dont think it would be insane for a team to blow 13 straight potential series clinching games? That’s never happened in the history of the big 4 North American sports. After the first Tampa series someone broke down the odds of us getting to 10 and it was around 30 thousand to one.

Matthews should not play with marner. He defers way to much to marner. This series shows that matthews needs to be your best player to win in the playoffs. Love marner but at the end of the day….you need matthews.

Feels like matthews just wants to give the puck to marner and let him do it which is idiotic. Once matthews got with nylander then he started to do it himself more. He carries the puck more himself.

Everyone says “trade matthews” but he is the only way we win a cup. Marner is a perfect 2nd best player. You need that big center who defends, hits, block shots, scores goals, and drives play.

Utter shock. WOWWWWW.

Kept saying to myself "Leafs aren't coming back. I've seen this movie over and over again" as they scored each goal lol.

If the Leafs lose this series, game 7 would be our 13th straight time losing a potential series clinching game. I can’t even begin to describe how insane that would be.
No need to jump to conclusions and make assumptions already. At least wait to see if it gets to a Game 7.

Tha
11 hits, 4 blocks, 4 takeaways in the series. That is someone who is engaged and trying to help his team win.

When you listened to the interviews last night there is very little doubt how much he is respected and liked in the room. Both Rielly and Matthews talked about how hard he works all the time.

Kerfoot is normally the type of player Tor loves.

I still think if he was acquired any other way outside of the Kadri trade I think he is viewed quite differently
That's true, and as we are all fixated on the salary cap and Toronto's challenges in that regard, the fact he's probably overpaid by 1.0 - 1.5 million doesn't help him with the fans.

Well, it’s not close to being over, but I’ll tell you this, leafs fans havnt had this much fun in over 19 yrs. full disclosure, I’m not a dubas fan to put it mildly. I’m not a keefe fan either. I have found matthews, marner and nylander come off as looking like entitled immature spoiled brats. im not a diehard leaf fan, more of a casual fan that follows all nhl teams. But what this team has shown me including the core, is a willing to do things they haven’t been willing to do in the past. Matthews in a fight, nylander throwing the body. Shanahan wanted killer instinct, and it came in the form of one trade, RoR and Accari. Screw my negativity about leaf management etc, let’s go on a run, someone that hasn’t been done in almost a generation. Take us on a ride leaf’s, and never look back!

I criticized Holl after game 1 but he's been reliable with the puck in his own end especially considering he leads the defense in defensive zone start %

As usual I think people hate Holl so much they're blinded by it whether he plays well or not. He hasn't been great, but its hard to blame him much when his main partner has been horrible. Giordano with almost 4 xGA/60 so far, and he's honestly looking worse each game.

What I don’t get is when we were playing our best hockey in the regular season, Matthews and Marner were on separate lines.

Keefe finally decides to play Nylander with Jarnkrok and Matthews and put Marner back with Tavares and look what happens.

This team becomes so much harder to play against when Matthews and Marner are on separate lines and now you throw in O’Reilly and Knies on a whole other line and you create matchup nightmares for the opposing team.

A first line of Jarnkrok - Matthews - Nylander has been pretty obvious for quite some time. A few of us have been posting that lineup for awhile now yet Keefe never really tried it even down the stretch in the regular season when the lineup was in the blender.

Jarnkrok - Matthews - Nylander
Kerfoot - Tavares - Marner
Knies - O’Reilly - Bunting
Aston Reese - Kampf - Acciari

Probably what is go with in game 5.

Yep Giordano has had stretchs in the series where he's looked slow and one step behind.

If we advance and against a faster Bruins team, might want to get Liljegren into some action if that trend continues.

Not sure how you would set up the pairings. Even as someone who's hyped up Schenn's play this series, this was always a good matchup for his playstyle where Boston isn't quite as ideal.

Not sure what the issue is but you are correct about AM deferring to MM.
Something not right with AM all year. Even that goal in the corner last night was not as quick or fast as last year.
He is playing with his brain, far better than most even now, but he is not himself.

I know people got emotional last night after 2 periods, myself included, but how could you not? I am not going to apologize. I just think that we are emotionally scarred from the past 6 seasons. How could we expect anything but a loss? I am just happy they won, and pulled off an amazing comeback. I just hope they don't have to put themselves in that position too often. They have to play a full 60 minutes.

Hagel is such an easy guy to hate. Dude acts like he’s been part of those 2 cup wins, talking all cocky when he hasn’t won squat. “We didn’t change anything so I’m not surprised the score is 4-1. Eat a dick Hagel.

Looking forward to seeing him on the mic if the Leafs finish them this week.

Whether or not you apply the star term, there is no doubt that he is going to be an extremely valuable player for a long time, and exactly the kind of power winger this team desperately needs.
I would consider that production to be a star especially with the other aspects he will bring, but everyone has their own definition.

Holy smokes! What an emotional roller coaster that was last night! What a great comeback from the boys! It will be interesting to see if Keefe puts Bunting back in the lineup for game 5. I personally would keep him out. They've won 3 in a row without him, keep it the same for now.

If they can close out the series I think they will play so much better in later rounds. The playoff series win drought has added so much pressure and makes them grip their sticks too tight.
