If they can close out the series I think they will play so much better in later rounds. The playoff series win drought has added so much pressure and makes them grip their sticks too tight.

Been saying this for years now. 100% going to be the case if they get past round 1.

Knies could be a 30 goal 60 point guy but doubt he becomes a star. His numbers this year in College as a 2nd year 20 year old don't suggest star potential.

The eye test tells a different story... he's been one of our best forwards the past 3 games. He is already our 3rd best winger and has played just 5 games in his career.

officiating seemed a lot better this game. im all for letting Them play through soft stuff, but they need to call the real infractions. Which They did last night compared to game 3.

Nylander moves the puck quickly, his speed drives the defense back, he isn't going to stick handle in a phone booth, he's going to use a cell phone and speed by those guys in the booth.

First goal, was speed, quick pass to marner and then the marner pass to the wide open Matthews. Nylanders speed opened up that space, not pretty stick work.

Not sure what the issue is but you are correct about AM deferring to MM.
Something not right with AM all year. Even that goal in the corner last night was not as quick or fast as last year.
He is playing with his brain, far better than most even now, but he is not himself.

I was thinking the same thing. It was actually a bit of a muffin shot. I can't remember the last time he put one of his laser beams on net. I think that wrist thing is still an issue. Fortunately he has 50 ways he can score on you.

You dont think it would be insane for a team to blow 13 straight potential series clinching games? That’s never happened in the history of the big 4 North American sports. After the first Tampa series someone broke down the odds of us getting to 10 and it was around 30 thousand to one.

No odds are safe from this team. I won't believe they can do it until it's done. My soul has been crushed too many times.
