Lol. Not a fan of the french quebecois place names? ;)

Shawinigan :)

And Saint John is properly pronounced Saint Toilet…

I get the feeling your Halifax location might be playing a role here . . .

What a performance by Dufour, simple amazing. And imagine if he can just get a little faster in his initial burst and those first couple skating strides? Because once he gets moving, he is a tank.

The Isles really could have something upfront in Dufour and Raty.

If the Isles keep the No. 13 pick, and a top winger slides on draft day due to centers being taken earlier than expected (or other teams reach on a defenseman or two), adding a premium forward prospect to those two would look darn good.

That was one person, I remember him slotted around 100.

Dufour was a former #6 overall pick in the 2018 QMJHL Draft so he was recognized early as a top talent. He had a rocky start to his Q career and got traded a couple of times, he has really blossomed now... better late than never. The release is high grade and he's a coveted RH shot with excellent size. He does need to add some explosion to his skating, but he moves well after he gets going. His skating technique and style reminds me of Draisaitl when he was in the WHL. Excited for his future.

I remember he was the only player we picked that draft that I was familiar with lll

Dufour's shots just seem to find their way into the goal. That's a compliment. Some guys shoot and the puck somehow gets deflected or blocked or hits the goalie. Some guys just seem to have the magic touch. Dufour appears to fall into the latter category.

He seems to have that innate ability to hold the puck, wait for the defender to make his move first, then pick his spot in the back of the net.

For a team like the Isles, who have too many players that either treat the puck like a hand grenade or like to bury the puck into a defenders shins or the goalies chest, that would be a welcome change of pace.

A Bridgeport line of Durandeau or Holmstrom - Raty - Dufour could be a lot of fun to watch next season. I like the mix of different, yet complimentary, skills that those players each bring.

I don't know if Durandeau will make it to the NHL, but he looked good in the couple games that I saw late in the season and really surprised me.

He was very noticeable on the ice and brought that "energy" that all teams can use in their bottom six. Hopefully he can take another step forward next year.
