I want that Lawrence kid on BPT so badly.
The few comments I’ve seen from Dufour regarding his relationship with the Isles organization were quite positive. Hopefully he has the ear of his teammate.

Considering the relatively bare cupboard of prospects for the Isles, he would be a solid addition.

It's the kind of move they should make. What does he lack that the drafted Ryan Francis have, I wonder?
Absolutely, after watching the B-Isles game last night it's clear to me they need a bit more skill and creativity up front. Lawrence would fit the bill.

Yes he's undersized, but another undersized and undrafted QMJHL player played last night for the P-Bruins (Samuel Asselin) and looked really good. One of the few players on that team that was noticeable every shift creating chances and shooting the puck.

Studnicka is going to be a 'stud', wouldn't surprised me to see him on the B-Bruins next season.

Studnicka is too good for the AHL. Easily the best player on the ice most nights. He's been up to the NHL before. I don't know why the Bruins keep sending him back down.

Was saying this to me Bruins buddy. He looked too good for the AHL last night and I expect him to be a fixture on their big club next season.

Watched the Panthers tonight . . . Barzal’s winger plays for the Panthers

How did the organization not see what we had in him?

Tampa stole him from us

Looking for info on players who made their NHL debut last season. Can anyone here tell me a bit about these guys like what role they played last season, what type of player they are and what their future outlook could be? Thanks!!

Robin Salo
Grant Hutton

Simon Holmstrom seems to have made some strides towards becoming an NHLer this season and-playoffs and that is a welcome sign.
I know I’ve been hard on Holmstrom. During the season, he was scoring at a 1/2 a point clip, which honestly, for an alleged offensive 1st round pick, isn’t that impressive. But he picked it up late in the year, finished with a 0.63 points per game. Still not mind blowing, but a definite improvement. Played well in the playoffs.

I still think he will be a career minor leaguer/Euro league player. May get a few games with the Isles eventually, but I don’t see an NHL top 6 forward. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Unfortunately I think that’s his same trajectory, may get a cup of coffee in the league as an injury call up, don’t see how he makes a “competitive” roster.

He’s not looking like a total bust of a pick, but not exactly what you want out of a first rounder.

Thank God the two of you aren't our GM

Hutton is likely a bottom pairing defensive defenseman if he makes the NHL. Understands his role and isn't flashy.

Salo is a higher end prospect, probably a middle pairing guy who is a good skater with offensive ability. Some are very high on him, but I wasn't overly impressed in his limited time and apparently neither was the coaching staff since he was passed over on a promotion mid-season.

As someone who watches all the Bridgeport games he is going to play in NHL as a middle six forward who plays on both special teams units. He basically is similar player to Bailey, better skater but plays a similar style. He will fit well with Pageau IMO eventually with his high IQ play.
