Those numbers from Tikkanen... WOOF.
Get Snowie on the phone and see if Tikkanen can borrow his old oversized pads.

If Raty gets more opportunity with Jukurit, this is a positive. I look at it from a player development perspective not unlike the AHL in NA. Liiga is a pro league, winning matters, but from a prospects view. You want to see them progress in development, and this means being put in a position to succeed.

Yup that what i ment with "getting" to play in a smaller club, i bet he get top line minutes soon enough.

Cockerill and Mirageas are 5th year seniors.

Cockerill is even the captain of BU.

Those stat lines are absolutely SHOCKING.

I mean, seriously... what is going on with these guys???

Straight miss on Mirageas, I think he was a stretch even on draft day. Cockerill is a 7th rounder, not worth getting upset about, small defensive forward who works hard, he was never going to put up points.

Mirageas goes to Providence, Lou's old school. FWIW. ;)

BTW, I meant maybe that works in his favor come decision time. Not that Lou picked him (Snow, right?).

Neither has really been on the prospect map in recent years. Mirageas scored more as a freshman than maybe he has in his four seasons since. Cockerill's freshman season was far and away his best as well.

What I'm curious about is how any drafted players in the NCAA could simply fall off the scoring map completely in their 5th(!) year of play.

That's a hard feat to pull.

I mean, I'm seeing all sorts of former college players across Europe who were never drafted, but had some fairly gaudy college numbers and are now scoring stars in leagues here, some even in places like Finland, Russia, and Sweden.

It's pretty mindnumbing to see these two with a combined one assist in 13 games.

PS) Travis St. Denis is having a real good season here in the DEL, clipping at a PPG pace. It's his first season overseas.
