That's definitely true. Great Benning acquisitions like Markus Granlund, Linden Vey, Andrey Pedan, and Adam Clendening will make the Canucks contenders for years to come.

No need for the ********. Vey and Clendining aren't even on our team anymore.

No need to come into a thread just to say how much better the Canucks prospect pool is (wrong) and how much better of a GM Benning is than Snow (wrong x2).
Snow is just brilliant with his one playoff round win in 10 years.

At least the Isles have made the playoffs in the last decade. Now go away.
Original. At least the oilers addressed their problems upstairs instead of sitting and praying Garth Snow somehow makes the jump from biggest joke in the league to competent let alone good one day. Maybe give him another decade.

Garth Snow should send Chiarelli a big tub of Vaseline. Shero could pitch in too. Pretty sad that 'the biggest joke in the league' did Pete dirty multiple times. Derp.

Picking a fight
While fully acknowledging it is too soon to know, two guys I don't think will be impact NHL players.

Agreed. That having been said, I'd still prefer Dal Colle, who I thinklikely will still carve out a solid career as a middle 6 scoring winger.

WHat would interest me is something around MDC and Crouse. I think Bellows is just a better version of what the Isles hoped MDC would provide, which makes him expendable. Crouse on the other hand would be unique in the Isles system.

You do realize that Snow came into what was one of the worst situations a GM could possibly be put in with an absolutely gutted team and has built it into a perennial playoff contender with an extremely bright future, right?

Brought his team to back to back 100 point seasons? Lets not throw rocks from glass houses, the Isle fans have a lot more ammunition than you.

Remember last year when Snow traded Grabner to Toronto for five prospects who no Islanders fan had ever heard about? Maybe this is something similar.

Kulemin/Grabovski for a pile of lower tier prospects who will all play in Bridgeport.

Perlini for Dal Colle?[/QUOTE

No thanls
Yesterday, just before JHS and MDC were demoted to the ahl for their 1st pro season, Staple tweeted both had good training camps. They are just are not nhl ready yet.
Let's not confuse fan impatience with front office frustration.

Grabo can be placed on LTIR. Kuli actually makes a positive contribution.
Grabner was coming off a couple disappointing seasons , was near the bottom of the forward depth chart and due $5m for 1 more yr.

Toronto wanted to be rid of multiple bodies, taking up spots and was willing to take a cap dump to do do.
Isles are not in a cap crunch, don't have multiple bodies taking up unwanted spots.

I believe Bellows is starting his 1st yr of college.
He is no where near the nhl roster and did not even attend training camp.

Isles will focus on Bellows several yrs down the road. They will focus on MDC, starting his 1st pro season, now

In that same time frame chiarelli

Built a contender
Won a cup
Almost won another

And is now starting another rebuild. One playoff round win in 10 years should be unacceptable. Low standards in NY I guess. Maybe the new owners aren't as crazy as wang and will look at the books and see that they are still paying rick Dipietro 1.5 million till 2029. The guy who signed the worst contract of all time didn't all of a sudden become a genius.
