Can you imagine if they gave him one of those mini-kids tables? The plastic table and chairs that my 2 year old daughter has to paint?

That would be fantastic. A paper birthday hat would work great too. If they started calling him "Ruprick" that would be complete everything.
Your scenario would be ideal. Short of that, I would like to see the TSN/NHL cameras focused on the Isles' table as Garth sits down next to Lou, and then Lou gestures to an empty seat at the other end of the table for Garth to move to. If the camera catches that Garth's credentials say "Fredo" all the better, but I don't want to get greedy.

I really would not have a problem pursuing Karlsson. Any issues with his ankle I am sure Lou and Trotz will know much more than any of us realize. I also believe that if they trade for Karlsson he will be staying here long term.

11th + Toews + JHS + Ladd

I am terrible with proposals.

....Perhaps with the caption "Yup, they're still sh!tting on me!"

BTW, I've seen a lot of comments about getting a goalie without giving up too much (from me included).

But at the end of the day Lou is going to try to fix the problem. He's not going to seek a cheap solution, he's going to seek the solution.

That may be the case, but he's not doing his job if he is wildly overpaying for someone that may not be our long term guy. Look at the deals Tim Murray made, that Chiarelli made.

I do not even think the best answers are going to cost a lot though. If the Islanders trade a first for Grubaeur I do think they will be getting something else in return.

If there is a best solution and a cheap solution, I hope he goes with the best solution. But if there are 5 various solutions grading out roughly the same, I hope he goes with the cheapest one.

There doesn't appear to be a Schneider for #11 type deal available. If there is, I'm happy for him to consider it. But it doesn't look like that's an option. At least right now. Things change hourly about now and there are probably options that we have no idea about either now or in the future.

Perfect! I would have tried to do that but my tech skills are limited to hitting reply. Now if you can just photo shop a picture of Garf with a party hat on as well as a fork with a cork on it, we'll be all set.

Saw on twitter that Colton Parayko could be a target of sometimes. Unsure why St. Louis would even entertain trading him, but given his age and contract, and all other things considered, I'd rather deal for him than someone like Erik Karlsson who likely walks after a year and has some injury history.

What do you think it'd take to get him? a hell of a price. I'd gladly part with a 2018 1st, 2018 2nd, etc. but they will want a roster player and top flight young guy as well.at minimum, cause he a stud.

Unlikely but worth spitballing for fun. He's the type of player this team is missing, and has shown at times that he can be a legit #1 defenseman. Stil just 24.

I think it'd take more to get Parayko than Karlsson.

Id think 11OA + 43rd + Beau + Nelson + Toews maybe gets it done

McKenzie said we have checked in on Skinner, not sure about Panarin but he thinks it would be a perfect fit.

Sure. I hope/assume he'll find THE solution at the best cost he can.

Then why were you quoting me saying Karlsson can't sign a contract until July 1st?

I see what happened, I must've accidentally quoted your post by mistake. I meant to quote the post before yours. Sorry for the confusion.
