I feel like he just makes all of these trades in a vacuum without actually considering the ramifications that they have on the team. That Domi trade was bad. Subban trade was asinine.

I just don't get the moves, like you mentioned earlier. The 1 for 1 trade for Domi makes some sense possibly if they're re-building. They need to re-build but seem confused about how to do it. I think they should be looking to dump off Price and Weber at all costs and just tank.

Only person linking Kovy to the Isles was Dippin Dots, and he’s a bigger fraud than Ledecky

Staple did as well, with a few other guys. Nobody said it was a done deal though.

John Carlsson was used as Washingtons #3 defenseman. He was a negative (not +/-) defensively 5v5 and was sheltered. He is absolutely not the defenseman this team should be handing 8+ million to.

I just want to get a defenseman who is worth that much. Subban or Doughty would be great.

Michael Grabner should be on our wish list.

Please no. I wish he'd retire so I didn't have to see his name pop up on our boards anymore, that's how much I don't want him.

Outside of a goalie and defenseman I think our biggest need is a good 2 way 3rd line center that can kill penalties and is good on the draw
There are some guys out there for a varying bottom 6 roles like Dom Moore, Riley Nash, Derek Ryan, Glendening, Jay Beagle, Tyler Johnson, Gibbons, Brodziak, Filppula and Winnik.

Scoring isn’t our issue.

We can use our money better elsewhere

Sigh.

Once again...If you add more offense then you can trade that excess offense to fix your defense/goaltending.

You only have to many assets to trade, so when you can add a significant asset by only taking up cap room, you do it.

I would say so, LA was a target place if that is true, LA has gone to plan B,... next see if San Jose goes plan B

With the Hoffman deals...The Sharks doubled down on plan A.

That said I wouldn't worry about another team. This all comes down to what Tavares wants to do and Malkin is giving him every reason to stay. If Lou adds some serious talent this weekend, then it's totally on JT if he leaves.

If the Blues are tempted to trade Parayko... He's the guy we should go all in for.

Kid can do it all

Given the contract situations I'd go for Parayko over Karlsson. Both will cost a lot, but Parayko less and he's signed for FOUR more years at 5.5/year. Beyond reasonable and a legit top-4 D-man. An IDEAL add if we could get him.

As for tomorrow I’m hoping Lou swings for the fences on EK...Ottawa could use 11 and 12 so they can leave #4 for Colorado this year. SUMMER OF LOU!!!!
