Besides Karlsson what top four is available though? I read Subban but it worries me he could be traded again although he is childhood buddies with JT so maybe isles are good fit. I’d make play for Karlsson using both 1sts Nelson and any of the young D not named Pulock.

I'd do it, but I think Ho Sang really needs one full season here, or at least a half. We don't know what he can do - he could have a lot of upside. After watching the playoffs it was obvious we are as slow as hell.
It was like watching a different sport than Islander hockey.

Also, with Trotz now here, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Lou court Dan Hamhuis, who played for Trotz in Nashville and is a pending UFA this summer.

He’s a really solid 2nd pairing D who kills penalties and can pair with Pulock and give him a veteran presence. Hamhuis has missed only 5 games the past two years and his term will be much less than de Haan’s while providing a very similar impact.

Not saying that should be the only move, but if can be one of them.
