He's a rookie and he's a top 10 goalie in the league. I don't see the problem at all.

Goalies give up goals. We should maybe beat a team once in awhile and not need the fort held.

We should also not have to score 5+ goals to win every game.

It's amazing. This fanbase is truly spoiled by the Lundqvist years. On most good teams you don't rely on goalies to continuously bail you out.

I've been his biggest critic in not holding the fort but he made like 3 big saves in the 3rd period and OT (combined). This was not an example of a game he didn't hold the fort. Maybe they shouldn't give up these wide open chances in OT.

Live look at Dubas calling Gorts and JD at the same time to acquire Smith and Hajek.

Hard to complain though picking up 3 pts on the Bruins in two games on Long Island
controllable things are still being messed up. thats what makes it hurt.

Fox and Panarin had bad games. Our vets were bad, again. Kids are flying and get us tied... Then Quinn went back to his vets... That's what agitates me.

I'll take 3 points, in the macro sense of things.

We were the better team after the 1st by a long mile. Kids are great and 3 pts is better than we were expecting. Sucks not to get the W, but there is alot to be happy about

5+? How about 3?

Igor has a 2.44 GAA and a losing record.

And as far as holding the fort, you mean like Hank did in game 3 against Tampa? Or any game against LA? Or in game 5 against the Devils after we tied it? Goaltenders give up goals.

You need puck carriers in OT. Fox, Zbad, Panarin, Kravtsov, Buch-ish, Laf has looked good carrying the puck as well. Kakko maybe as well. But on d aside from Fox, between Lindgren, Smith, Hajek, Miller and Trouba, who do slot in 3 on 3? They're all pretty weak to poor with offensive awareness and are more likely to have a costly turn over than contribute to a scoring chance in OT. That one is a tough decision. Keeping Strome and CK on the bench is not.

While it's a positive that our kids were the reason we tied it, where were our stars? Nothing from Mika/Panarin/Strome/Fox. And the slow starts are a Quinn staple. With an NHL coach we win this game.

Zib and Buch were much more engaged and played well when Krat was injected.

Krieder was terrible, save for one shift at the tail end of 3rd with the 4th line.

Breadman and Strome were ghosts.

I know Panarin was nursing his lower back with a heat pad, so i'll give him the pass tonight. Probably explains Strome too now that I think about it...

I agree. Strome is great at finishing and making that one last pass. He sucks in the lead-up. The entire overtime is lead-up with all that open ice.
